The customer service here is terrible . They are rude and do not like to answer questions. My impression is that they think the customers need them more than they need customers. When dealing with insurance change, they did not even bother looking at the insurance card before saying we can't help you with it. Hey, I'm not the one who deals with the insurance all the time so I don't know the ins and outs of it. God forbid you deign to give any advice on it.
In the past, we got quality friendly care from them. The receptionist displayed an attitude of wanting is to leave and find someplace else to go instead of making her do any work. I got a similar impression from the doctor herself.
We will be looking at the long list of places on the insurance site other than this location. People have choices, and you need to work harder if you care to keep customers.

I've been going here for about 5 years I think. The staff is great and the doctors have always been professional and thorough. I frankly don't understand all of the bad reviews. I've always had great experiences here.

Worst experience with this location. Got prescription glasses, when received in less than a week it broke, it was loose fitting, it fell on carpet so glasses were saved. Even the glass on had blurry vision. Took back to Costco, saw representative Sam he fixed the loose fitting and as I was traveling he cleaned up and gave my glasses back and told me, he has put a note on my account. On my return home, I went back they sent it to fix to the workshop as both issues were still there, it got loose again and blurry vision. I got back my glasses after few days. Blurry vision issue was there and Less than a month same issue it got loose again and broke. Took back to Costco Naperville, they did temporary fix. Each time I went, I was informed they have made a note on my case and Told me to contact manager Monique. I had medical emergency so could not get back to Monique. Once I was in capacity to move with walker went back to see Monique at Naperville Costco Optical. I explained her issue and told her all issues are on my account. Guess what, she told me there are no notes on the account, seriously all the representative helped me they did not do nothing just cleaned up my glasses and fix the fitting and handed back? How come when it went to workshop for repair was not in their system??????? My insurance paid them and I paid approx. $60 out of pocket, I’m a senior citizen and this is a big amount going out of pocket. Once again my glasses are in workshop and have to wait for Costco Optical to get my glasses this is almost end of October it took 10 months to resolve my issue and not sure I will get my glasses fix this time?????? Will never go to this location. They should return my copay.

This Costco optical is truly the worst! Closes early with no warning, rarely pick up their phones and rush customers through their appointments. Do not recommend.

We've been going to this location for years. The food court cleanliness has gone downhill. The tables are rarely cleaned. Today we had hair under our slice of pizza. There appeared to be new food court staff. The rest of the store is great. Just avoid the food court.

I called to schedule an appointment and selected the option to talk to the optical department thinking there was no need to schedule an appointment directly with the eye doctor themselves. The woman who answered the phone sounded annoyed that I was calling, told me I selected the wrong option, and that she was transferring me over without giving me a chance to finish saying the reason I was calling or respond to her. Overall, the location seems relatively busy and the staff doesn't seem to be handling it well. Not sure if they need additional staff to help with the volume or clearer direction on their answering service that specifically directs people on where to schedule appointments rather than "select option one to talk to an independent optometrist..." Phone call was made 7/17/23 at 4:40pm in case management is reviewing this and wants to provide additional training/feedback to specific team members.

Wow. After over twenty years as a member of Costco I never thought I would reach the point where I am considering whether or not to pay $120 a year for an Executive Membership. This particular Costco has generally been decent, unless you are buying tires and get stuck with some incredibly long wait (like all day). But I am really starting to think the management has NO consideration for the shopping experience. There have been hiccups here and there: too few checkers, lack of stock, but never anything thing that just made me think they really don't care. Until now. Their new self-check-out is ridiculous. You are supposed to run your items over the in-place scanners (no hand scanners for customers), place all your items on the counter. Then when you are all done, load the items back into your cart. It is one thing to scan your own items, bag them, then put them in your cart at a regular grocery store or Target, but it is another thing to handle a Costco load this way. Items are often large, even if light, and many are difficult to run across their in-place scanners. Their process is slow, poorly conceived, and clearly designed with little regard for the customer. Suggestion: Give the customer hand scanners to use. Or allow the customer to scan their item and immediately place it back into the cart. Customers should not have to pile up their items, then have to transfer them all back to the cart. If they need to see an efficient self-check out process in action, I suggest they take a trip through their local Sam's Club. Wow. It doesn't take a genius to see how ridiculous their process is, and it shouldn't take customer feedback to get it corrected.

This Costco does not believe in guest service or I see 3! Their expectations of guest service is to wait in line. While guest are registering for Costco cards! Which is ridiculous when the guest is using some sort of iPad, typing in their own information. I asked the employee can someone just give me my numbers, I don't have my card! With a very nasty tone and look of being disgusted! She said yea, I can after I take care of these two people ahead of you! Mine you it's going on 7 min now that I've been waiting. I asked for a supervisor because it's the supervisor job to assist. The employee just ignored me and literally turned her back on me! Tell me do you think this was her first time doing this to a guest?

Went for the first time and everything was great. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The doctor was very thorough and quick. The two young ladies working in the glasses department were very helpful and kept bringing me glasses until I found a pair I liked. I got my prescription glasses and sunglasses for the amount I would usually pay for just a new pair of glasses. Waiting on my trial contacts, hopefully everything goes as smoothly there also.

Staff is super rude tried to give me an attitude literally walked out. I'm not the one nor do I have time to play games. Get a new job if you aren't happy with your current one. One Hispanic lady and the young African American girl who was extremely rude. I don't know who you think you are but you need to calm your self. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else people!
