We had a great experience with our salesman, Bill Maybach. He listened and got us the car we wanted. The only down side was that there were scratches that we discussed fixing. They attempted but not as well as could have been. Also, we saw the car at night and didn't see all the scratches. Would have been nice if when they got the car in the shop to do them, they would have examined it for more. But we love the car and feel we made a great choice.

Brought my 2009 Hyundai Sonata to the Naperville dealership to be sold. They were friendly, offered me a fair price and sold my car quickly. It was a very pleasant experience.

I have purchased now 3 vehicles from carmax, 2 from the Naperville location and one from Tinley Park location. The last car purchased for the Tinley park location was a very bad experience. Prior to purchasing the car I asked if the smoke smell in the car could be taken care of. The salesman told me yes. When I picked up the vehicle nothing was done. Lock box was left in the car and the car was not cleaned. Then I received very poor service from the finance department. I walked in with a check and got treated like a criminal in the Tinley park location where I bought the car. This female employee had no issues with making snarky remarks while never speaking to me face to face.However I was not financing through Carnac. I had a check paying information in full. But I hope she felt good about her behavior. Nevertheless I called back and let them know I had to bring the car back if they could not fix the issues. I set up a service appointment at the Naperville location. They basically lied to me and told me they changed the cabin filters and they did not. Recently I took the car to the dealership in westmont and the service department informed me that the filters were dirty and never changed. I have put over $500 in this car that I bought less than 4 weeks ago. Carmax has definitely lost me as a returning customer. Your service and integrity has been horrible. Don’t buy from them go somewhere else and get better customer service. I was lied to and treated with pure racism.

Great price and service. Unfortunately, when the car was shipped in from Texas, the title had some kind of supplement sheet to it. That was not acceptable in the state of Illinois, so they had to request a new title from Texas. This took almost a month. Sales people were great, love the vehicle.

The service department is excellent to work with and very impressive. Michael, Bill, and the technicians are very knowledgeable and provide wonderful customer service. Quick & Easy, started online process myself and brought the car in soon after to see if the quote would hold up. Took probably less than 20 minutes and they confirmed the amount. We came back the next day with all the necessary docs and completed transaction fairly quickly approx. 25-30 min. Easy and painless.
