I decided to get my hair done professionally for the first time in years and I am so glad I found Amber Waves and Sara!
Sara was very understanding when I contacted her after my service. I didn’t like what I had initially wanted and I am so grateful that Sara helped me realize what I was looking for and redid my service so I was feeling happy, confident, and beautiful with my hair.
She rocked my haircut and I have discovered my new favorite hair color; I cannot wait to go back! I would highly recommend Sara for all of your color needs, you’re in good hands at Amber Waves!

A haircut that leaves every day feeling like a bad hair day. This was my second time in the salon, and I opted for a junior stylist as I wanted a trim and to keep my hair one length. She ended up giving me the most uneven haircut with wispy irregular ends. This was confirmed by a senior stylist at Amber Waves that attempted to fix it and a stylist at another reputable salon in the area that I went to to attempt to fix it a third time. As someone who is struggling with hair loss and attempting to grow out her hair, the resulting three haircuts later and 6 INCHES total having to be removed to attempt to rectify her mistakes is so disheartening to my hair journey. Even now, two months later, I still struggle with styling my hair because of all of odd short pieces and the abnormal ends that stick out. A junior stylist that has the capability to mess up an individual's hair so much should not have the ability to work and style hair independently.

I’ve been going to amber waves for about a year now and even had my wedding party get ready there. And they are nothing but amazing! Molly is my stylist and she is so kind and welcoming. It was hard moving here from another state and I was so nervous finding a hairstylist and Molly has been nothing but amazing and I love my hair more and more every time I get it done. Because of that I decided to have my bridal party get ready there and it was truly a great experience. Every stylist was so kind and listened to all my bridesmaids. They were all so happy with their hair and make up and the day was amazing thanks to them. I can’t recommend them enough.

The stylists are professional and well trained! I started going there a year ago for a cut and color, and haven't stopped going. The only downside is trying to find parking close by in Naperville.

Honestly so disappointed with my experience. Came in for a shampoo, deep conditioning, and a blow out- left with frizzy hair I could have handled at home. I will be returning to my normal salon.
