I really like this location. I have to say they are very honest. I bought my car in telling them that I need new brakes and they called me to tell me that I won't need new brake and need to drive it since it sat a bit. I picked up my car and everything was great ?

About two years ago, my regular repair shop referred me to Velasquez & Son's Mufflers & Brakes. My Cadillac SRX had a persistent noise issue—one shop quoted $1,700 to replace the entire exhaust system, and my regular shop attempted a fix for $600. Unfortunately, the noise persisted. Velasquez & Son's, however, resolved the problem for just $250! Even two years later, my vehicle still runs smoothly without any noise. I’ve been equally impressed with other work they’ve done for me. I own six cars, and now, they are my first choice whenever I have a car issue. I only go elsewhere if they don't service a specific brand. Jenny and David are professional, honest, and offer very reasonable prices. Plus, they usually complete the job the same day I bring the car in.

I keep coming back to Velasquez &Sons Mufflers and Brakes because the technicians always do a great job and the prices are reasonable. Their receptionist was also courteous and polite.

I visited this place recently to fix my car's brake issue. But during my visit , I found the receptionist's behavior to be unwelcoming and dismissive when I asked her for assistance. This made me feel uncomfortable and affected my overall impression of their establishment.
I believe that a more courteous and helpful approach would significantly enhance the visitor experience.

I had a noisy exhaust that started up and found out I needed a Catalylic converter and I should have the other one done too ( my car has 2 ) the car is 13 years old so I was due to get new ones . He had it fixed the next day. Jenny at the counter was very helpful. Very happy with the service.

Today, I visited “Velasquez Mufflers & Brakes Complete Car Care Center” at 20921 W. IL Rt 60, Mundelein, IL 60060, to replace the brake pads on my car.
I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who provided detailed information about all the services available. Before coming here, I had visited three other places, but none offered this level of service.
The mechanics were equally polite and completed the work quickly and with high quality. I was most pleased with the affordable pricing, which was unbeatable. I highly recommend this shop for great service and professional repairs.
