Just had my cracked windshield replaced. I’m very satisfied with their service. My appointment was scheduled a day before through my insurance company. They were on time to take care of me. Front desk lady was very polite and helpful. The whole process took about 2 hours, as planned. They also did calibration of safety systems, so no dealer involvement. There is plenty of restaurants walking distance if you don’t want to wait in the waiting area. It was a very smooth experience.

Looks like they have a bunch of negative Google reviews, so I hope this one raises their average, as my experience was ASTOUNDINGLY TERRIFIC! Just had them repair a small (largest dimension 1/2") windshield crack and I figured the best I would get is "reinforcement" so it wouldn't get larger. They were very courteous and efficient, fixing it quick as a wink, but what totally blew me away when I got in the car was that they had made the whole thing disappear! That old slogan (from the Servpro company), "Like it never even happened!", kept running through my head. Even better, another local glass company--without even asking to examine the crack--had insisted they'd have to replace the whole windshield. Couldn't be happier!

I would not use safelite in Mundelein . Had horrible service . First time I scheduled my windshield to be replaced at my house and they brought out a bad windshield. Had to wait for them to get another one in . When they finally came out with a good windshield they replaced it but broke my windshield cowl . It took them 2 more times to fix my cowl. Then 6 months later I noticed a crack coming from the bottom middle of my windshield forming from the very edge , called to have Safelite replace come out and do a warranty check and on the day of the appointment they called me to say they couldn’t come out because of understaffing and overbooking. After I rearranged my day for them. The worst part is they have every excuse . Recommend finding someone else for these services . Not worth the headache .

Shady business. Stay away. On 5/28 I paid $1,200 for a Tesla windshield replacement. Appointment on 6/7. Called them on 6/4 to confirm everything is in order and they confirmed. I arrive on 6/7 and they tell me the cost is now $2,600 due to OEM windshield costing more than $2,000. Interestingly, I have a quote from Tesla which shows OEM windshield costs $1,000. Asked to speak with a manager and was told they have none. Just horrible.
Update 7/20: Called repeatedly Safelite. Was promised that a manager would call me. Never happened. Why am I not surprised?

I would give zero stars if possible but I cannot. After 4 phone calls, an appointment for OEM glass install and a 5 day wait for an appointment, I show up only to hear the sales guy say "here is another one with OEM glass that has not been approved yet" well, no phone call to me, just a giant waste of my time....

I rearranged three days of my life for their mobile service to come replace my windshield.
On the first day they called last minute and cancelled.
On the second day they showed up with the wrong windshield, although the tech they sent was nice.
On the third day they cancelled last minute again.
My car is driveable, so I’m not annoyed about it not being repaired as much as I am the wasted time. I was understanding the first cancellation. I was annoyed by the wrong part. Third strike they are out.
I’ve rearranged my work and family schedule around them all week. They give long windows they expect you to be available, but they do not offer that kind of courtesy in return.

Couldn't have been a smoother experience! Got there on time and checked in. They told me how long it would take and they were right! No issues with getting my calibrations done and I was on my way!!
I don't WANT to have to go there again but our roads suck and you never know but if I do, I can trust Safelite to get the job done!

I've been trying to make an appointment with this place for the last two years they completed a job water and asked me after to get some adhesive to place around the light at tge top of my truck. They did a piss poor job. Every time I get a car wash water leaks and is ruining my headliner and drips all over my seat. I've been to 2 other locations and theyvsay ho back to the place that fixed it well there never are any appointments and I truck all over. Myvwindow never leaked it was extremely expensive to fix and took a whole day, not only did it take all day they have nit fixed it or addressed it in 2 years I'm sick of this. I want to leave a good review, but I can't get quality work as advertised. Please help. Somebody please help me.

The communication between Safelite, Michael the tech, and myself was impeccable. It worked out beautifully, and I got my windshield fixed at my work, during work ours, in less than twenty minutes. The confirmation, the texting, the calls, making sure I was comfortable with how it all worked out, was fantastic. Absolutely phenomenal job. Hopefully - I don't have to call them again!

They automatically want to charge you your full insurance deductible even if the job cost $180 less like mine did. I am glad I called Gerber Glass and got a way better price and just cancelled the claim on my insurance. This is the second time dealing with them and both times they have tried to overcharge me. The first time was my camry awhile back but they refunded me some money after I complained. Terrible people to do business with.

I regret to say that my recent experience with Safelite Auto Glass in Mundelein was nothing short of a nightmare, and employee named Ben is largely to blame for this dismal encounter. It was supposed to be about $980.00 repair paid for my insurance. Upon scheduling my appointment, I brought my car around 8:00 am, left the key with the reception person and I was told that they have all documentation from my insurance company, everything is ready to go and that the car will be ready in about 3 hours so I will be able to pick it up anytime this afternoon. At 10:25 technician named Ben called me to inform me that he will not proceed with the repairs because my fuel tank was not full and he wants me to come over and fill the tank at least to half full. I explained that I am at work, about 40 miles away and cant come all the way to put gas in my tank. I asked if they could fill the gas and I would reimburse any costs associated with the gas. He's response was " you were supposed to bring me a car with full tank of a gas and I am only asking about half of tank" and he HUNG UP ON ME! Rather than address my concerns like a responsible employee, Ben opted to abruptly end the conversation by hanging up on me. Such behavior is not only disrespectful but also indicative of a deeper issue within the company's culture.I picked up the car that afternoon with the cracked windshield.

Not sure why they don’t have a 5 star rating overall. Super communicative and helpful. Very high quality work compared to other shops I’ve been to. I could not of been more satisfied with the work they did on my truck. Will be recommending them to all my friends and family. Thank you guys
