“I have avoided this store for a long time because it used to be such a disorganized mess. But I went in for an Amazon return and was pleasantly surprised to see that everything was tidy, the employees were pleasant and merchandise was organized and easy to find. Julia in the Sephora section was especially helpful. My only problem was that there was only a limited selection of clothes in my size. Overall, a positive experience!”

“I am a bigger guy. However, I really don't care about all the crazy fashion that crops up every season. I just want nice looking jeans, button down shirts, and 1/2 zip and hoodie sweatshirts to fit right. For awhile, some stores had good clothing for plus size people. Kohl's carried a couple brands that were stylish and fit well, but then they stopped carrying them only to re-introduce those same brands with ill-fitting plus size options. Marshall Field's had a few items which became Macy's, and they had fewer still. The Winston Box, a monthly subscription mail order service boasts a way to find great options for any plus size and truthfully, they never sent items that fit well.
However, DXL (a.k.a. Destination XL) has always had options that work well with my body type. I'm a Polo fan and not a big fan or their house brand, Harbor Bay. With that being said, Harbor Bay's t-shirts and jackets are awesome and fit great.
DXL always has new options and brings in new brands that offer nice options such as Vineyard Vines, Psycho Bunny, Robert Graham, and more. Lately, I love the Lucky Brand jeans as they fit so well, and recently purchased the softest, most comfortable Vineyard Vines hoodie (actually, wearing both the hoodie and jeans right now).
Plus, DXL offers workout closes, casual clothes, dress clothes, suits, shoes, and accessories.
Lastly, the Vernon Hills location (close to me) has such a wonderful staff. Over the years, their staff has changed, but they are very friendly and always offer to help you find what you're looking for or are happy to remains hands off and let you do your own shopping. And they remember you whether you frequent them often or your visits are limited to a few times a year. I hardly visit any other store and if they don't have something in their store, they are happy to reach out to other locations to help you find your size and color you desire. I love this place!”
“This is my favorite store! I love the style of Wrangler pants. And the pants here are really cheap. You can find many below 10 bucks. Every time I go there, I come back with a heavy bag of pants (of course they have other things too, like shirts). The bag is heavy because I bought so many, also because some of the pants are made of very thick (hence durable) cloth. I can guarantee you that things you buy from here will be much cheaper than other stores, even other stores in malls, say the Lee store in Michigan City Mall.”

“The store is awesome. They have great deals, great styles, and great prices. The staff here is also top-notch. I went in to get an outfit for a date night with my husband. I came looking for an outfit and not only did I find that and so much more but the manager there helped me find the perfect denim jacket! When I went to check out, I got the surprise of a lifetime when she told me that she was going to gift me the jacket for free through a program that Express offers. I could not believe it. It seriously made my whole day. I will continue to shop at this location because of my amazing experience. Thank you!!!!!”

“Went in and was attended to by Diego after waiting for 25mins for another sales representative to attended my needs. That guy the one who kept me waiting kept serving other people and completely ignoring me this was After he told me he'd be right with me. Served at least 3 or 4 other people in the meantime. Granted I went in severely undressed testing Tim's review below written about a year ago. Turns out Tim was right. Only redeeming part I found was Diego who took care of me on a whim of hope that I probably wasn't wasting his time. Diego spent about a hour with me explaining everything another person is Raphael he was a great man who also helped tremendously. Note to any other employee you never know who you come across and who they know and what that person truly makes. Pick up any single sales book and read it it'll do you wonders. Other than the first 25mins of waiting with ample staff to take care of me. I will still give it 4 stars.”
