Went to talk to Warden about wife getting dog bit..Warden and MTV Police said it wasn't a dog bite. Doctor in the ER at Goodsam Hospital said it's a dog bite..now she's on meds. Guess they know more then the doctors.

I’m giving a three just because of the amazing woman who was there. We came in with good intentions and I mentioned the other dog we had was not neutered yet. We brought her to interact with the big boy bark ranger whose been there awhile and to mention is neutered. They would be the only two in our home. Because she has not reached the age and she has to go through 1 heat cycle we haven’t been able to fix her yet. I don’t know if miss information was given but a man called his boss and the boss said they can not allow us to adopt one of the dogs off the red list I don’t know if he told the boss she was not even of age to neuter… she weights 10 pounds…We’re trying to help you guys get more room, give these other babies more of a chance and longer time in finding a home. The man there was extremely stern and rude and wouldn’t hear my husband out about the information on our female. And my application went through I talked to the amazing blonde lady who helped us through it all she is kind and she’s definitely a one of a kind person. I hope something changes… or one day we can bring this boy home without it being to late. And I can change my review to a update on how well he’s settled into our home and the training we would provide for him. And his new name “Bear.”

Only care about making money off of stray animals, no reason adopting a pet, (not knowing anything about the animal like where it came from, the personalities, health issues etc) should cost as much as it does at this particular shelter. Its understandable needing to spay/nueter animals so their isn't abundance of strays, but to make the adoption fee more than 100$ and plus the spay/nueter is ridiculous. They say save a life and adopt a pet and make it super hard to actually save the life of these animals considering they're a kill shelter and dont give them time to even find a home because You also have to meet the criteria. They sadly just don't care any of these critters, just another job for them.

I feel they should be open on Saturdays because when someone finds a poor abandoned or stray dog/cat you have to keep it for two days and feed/water them. If you have other animals, they might not be okay with a stranger being there with them.

For those saying adoption is to expensive, the cost includes spay/neuter which I found out is more than the whole adoption fee. Staff is very helpful and care for the animals. Can't remember female Wardens name but let her know "Rocco" is very comfy.

I had to takea Stray kitten that I was unable to keep. I wanted to give this little guy a chance of a good life. The policy to have all pets spayed an neuter helps the over population of all the cats an dogs . I can't imagine if we didn't have this opinion to take the animals to how it would be.
