Young guy employee was fantastic! But wow! Goodwill your prices are insane! I can get that Walmart brand shirt cheaper new! You RESALE! People donate! And the half off color was very hard to find, almost nonexistent. Do better!

I frequented this store (not sure why as the Marion store is far superior). I always try & but at least something so I chose 2 books and was waiting in line. I was behind a lady being checked out. A somewhat odd looking girl came and inspected by books and then promptly offered to ring the woman in line BEHIND me offering no explanation. The lady behind me objected but the girl said I could be next. I walked out & bought NOTHING.This store rarely has anything worth buying & the bric a brac that sells at the Dollar Store for $2 will be at least $5 used here. Save your time and shop one of the other thrift stores in Mt Vernon- where the prices are much better & the staff way friendlier.

The store is pretty clean. Bathroom always seems in better than average condition. Staff is usually friendly. Prices aren't good. Very high even compared to most Goodwills throughout the Midwest. Clothes are ok, but hard lines are always over priced.

Went there and got a coffee pot for $7 the sticker read “works” then get home and it’s missing the part where you put the filter and coffee grounds! Also got a movie and I guess I should’ve checked it but just figured since they were selling it that it would have the movie in it. No, it only has the bonus features disc in it! All I ever do is WASTE $ when I walk in that store they have somehow always managed to scam me in one way or another!?

90% clothing, 10% housewares, etc. Really appears that the majority of the better donated items are trucked to larger stores and not offered for resale locally. Generally, the main reason we patronize this facility is that it's store hours make it more accessible than the locally owned resale businesses.

The store doesn’t close for hours, however all floor bins were being removed for cleaning after the store closes. The constant rising prices is getting ridiculous! When $1 items from deals is being sold for $2.49…. It’s beyond insane!

Goodwill in Mt. Vernon, IL has upped their prices dramatically and it’s ridiculous. I will not be shopping there much anymore unfortunately. Makes me sad, I loved it, but I can’t afford it anymore.

It's not one of those thrift stores where you can find little inexpensive treasures...mostly clothes. A majority of the dishes they had were expensive (used non name brand iron skillets were $20, for example) and/or damaged (chips or cracks). My 17 year old son did find several shirts to buy, they had different colored tags, but they were all the same price. The beautiful human that checked us out was the best part of the trip. Kind, patient and super helpful.

Pricing is ridiculous. They price videos games however they see fit. (They keep the good ones behind the front counter fyi) . They literally split up the blu-ray and DVD seasons and charge you 2.29 per disc. And now they are charging 14.79 for kids board games. They also raised the prices on blue jeans and t shirts. On the color sale days, they conveniently don't put the colors out on the sales floor and I swear I've caught them pulling certain colors from the racks on certain days of color sales. I used to love this store and it used to be a good place for good deals but it's changed for the worst.

Always love my trips to GW. Never know what you can find. Most of my gifts this season was from GW or thrifting. The staff is always so nice. One of my favorite places to go
