Overall great experience! It was my girlfriend's first time buying a car and our car dealer Dustin made the whole process super easy and he worked with us for the best price and didn't push anything on us and helped us learn everything about our new car... would totally recommend them to anyone!!!

I will never on Gods green earth ever deal with Ford square ever again! A threat was made to a fully disabled man by one of their salesman Steven that day to have me arrested. In fact they were wrong in the way they approached the sale, as I said with a disabled person in general.

BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I’ve been in dealership sales for 7 years, with 6 of those being in management. I will tell you this place is the most crooked and unprofessional dealership I’ve ever dealt with in my life and I mean it. Not to mention, the management I dealt with and continue to deal with, doesn’t have a CLUE about what they’re doing in any capacity.
My wife liked a Ford Explorer she found on Facebook, low miles, good price and sent it to me. I contacted the salesperson that posted it (Dustin) and did an online credit app with the dealership. They sent over an approved pencil 35,995 for theirs $57,000 for mine with $0 down at a $691 payment salesperson says it’s 14% and I will finance with Ford Motor Credit. I didn’t really like the rate but it was lowering my payment over $300 so I agreed. He schedules me to come and sign finance paperwork and pick up the vehicle.
The next day I drive up to the dealership with my trade in after cleaning it out. When I arrive it takes about 45 minutes for them to tell me…IT WAS NEVER APPROVED. Their manager misread a payment call from the bank and just put something together.
They then tell me that the only way they can get me approved is with $5000 down and a $526 payment. I told them I wasn’t going to do that I was going to St Louis for work and that they needed to figure it out. I told them to put more money in my trade or to discount their vehicle since it was a “payment call”
I left the dealership and went to STL for work. Within the 2 days I was gone I was quoted multiple different payments and interest rates with the same bank Ford Motor Credit.
We went from HAVING to put 5k down and HAVING to be at a $526 payment, to all sorts of different numbers.
I ended up agreeing a second time after I got them to do $1000 down instead of $2000. This time $34,995 selling price $1000 down and 58,091 for my trade $545 payment with 9.49% interest. I schedule a pick up at the dealership again. I stop at the dealership on my way back from St Louis to sign paperwork and the bill of sale reads $35,995 selling price $58,000 for my trade. So they marked the selling price up on me $1000 from what we agreed to and took $91 back on my trade.
After I got upset and asked if they were going to honor their deal or keep up with whatever they were trying to do the finance manager Terri, who is just downright unprofessional and rude told me I was blessed to even be approved and they weren’t going to honor what they told me on the phone and sent a finance disclosure of and then she asked me to leave. (My credit had dropped a lot from what it used to be, but mind you I was still a 680 with 5-6k trade equity and 1k down, it really wasn’t hard to get me approved…..or shouldn’t have been)
So I took a picture of the bill of sale and left the dealership after telling them this was a federal truth and lending nightmare.
They called me before I could even hit the interstate and told me they would honor the deal. I agreed for a 3rd time, went and got my trade again, and showed back up and signed the paperwork. LOOK AT THE NUMBERS, they never needed 5k down, it never HAD o be a $526 payment , they just didn’t know how to structure a deal.
BUT I’M NOT DONE
This amazing finance manager Terri didn’t have me sign a power of attorney that day on my trade in because my wife wasn’t with me, and nobody wanted to wait on my wife to come to the dealership. So she sent me with the power of attorney to sign and return in the mail. WHICH I DID! They say they never received it! So they sent another Power Of Attorney to my house, and I’ve been moving so I hadn’t signed the 2nd one yet. So what do they do? Send the secretary of state police to my house!!! (For something they didn’t get signed!) I wasn’t there, so I called the guy and he asked if I could sign it and I say ok. I pull it out when I ge

We traded cars at Ford Square, Mount Vernon,Illinois. Everyone was very helpful to show us every vehicle we were interested in seeing. We were pleased with the allowance we received on our trade in . They have many vehicles to choose from and there is zero interest on some of them . We recommend Ford Square of Mount Vernon .

I am deeply disappointed with the management team at this dealership. From start to finish, my interactions were marred by a noticeable attitude problem among the staff. It's disheartening when you come in, ready to engage and possibly make a significant purchase, only to be met with unprofessionalism. The demeanor was so off-putting that it affected my entire experience negatively. I suggest the management team reserve such attitudes for personal settings, not professional ones where customers expect courteous and respectful service.
