I wish I lived closer! They have a huge selection of yarn, far better quality than the chain craft stores. I was blown away by the number of books/magazines/pamphlets of patterns. The shop has a great vibe, the employees were super friendly and when they didn't know the answer to one of my questions regarding interchangeable needles, they looked it up for me which I really appreciated! Thanks for a great experience!

I used to enjoy coming to this store as it is the closest one to where my boyfriend lives, but the staff here needs some serious work. The younger women who work here are very helpful and seem to actually treat you like a person when you walk in or have a question, but the owner and the male instructor who work here are extremely rude. I have been knitting for two years now and have never been inside a store where my mother and I have felt discriminated against for not being knitters from the time we were children. People can learn how to knit and do other crafts similar to knitting later on in life, and this place seems very judgmental towards beginners and novices. I will be taking my business to other yarn stores that have a sense of humanity.

My wife will never go here again. The owner was outright rude on multiple occasions. Too many other small businesses to support.

I brought my 89 year old mother here from Lincolnshire who has wanted to come here for the last 2 months. I was able to finally bring her at the store. There was one associate working with a customer. We were never acknowledged in anyway. Looked around for nearly 20 minutes still waiting to be seen and helped. Waited another 20 minutes and left extremely disappointed. My mother has gone here for years. But now you lost her and me as a customer. Terrible customer acknowledgement and service. Never again

Mosaic Yarn Studio is one of my favorite yarn shops in Illinois! They have an impressive selection, especially for such a small space; and the store itself boasts a welcoming and positive environment meant for shopping, chatting and asking questions on projects and products. I have interacted with Nick most frequently, and I've even taken one of his classes! He is a patient, clear and concise teacher, and is so lovely to talk with. Their staff even offers private lessons in addition to their classes, and I am looking forward to signing up for one with Nick in the near future. They welcome all types of crafters, knitters, crocheters, weavers... and anyone else who is interested in fiber arts! This is truly a gem out here in the suburbs!

Rigid Heddle weaving classes and equipment offered. Wonderful Store - great selection of high-end and affordable yarns. Just finished a Rigid Heddle class with Georg. She is an art teacher who makes the Rigid Heddle a piece of equipment you must try! She enjoys experimentations in color and technique. I learned the "official" techniques, but was encouraged to try variations. Georg always answers question thoughtfully - I really understand and want to weave it all! Thank you.

This used to be my favorite yarn shop, and I would drive 40 minutes to go there. I have spent quite a bit of money there on yarn, patterns, and classes. All of a sudden, Every time I walked into the store I would be given the stink eye, and no one would speak to me. I would patiently wait watching for when the owner was free so that I could ask her questions, but she totally ignored me. Yes, she did know I was there and did know that I was waiting. I stopped going to that shop. Fast forward about a year later when I was at stitches with a friend. I passed by Mosaic yarn Studios Booth and asked a question about a pattern for a model they had there. The owner gave me a dirty look and said we sell it in the shop. As I walked away, I looked back and she was pointing at me and talking to her sales associate. I brought this up to my friend, and my friend told me that there was someone stealing from that shop, maybe she thinks it was you. When I frequented that shop, there was one time when I found something in my bag that they didn't ring up, and I went back into the store to pay for it. Stealing is not my cup of tea. Needless to say, I have never been back. I still spend a lot of money, but not there.

I've always wanted to learn how to knit and I found out this wonderful place not too far from where I live offered a complete beginner class. I took a 4 lesson class last month and it was a wonderful experience. The instructor Nick was patient, pleasant and professional. As a complete beginner, you want someone like him who doesn't stress you out or rush you to do something you are not used to do. I didn't feel intimidated or stupid at all and I am glad I came to this place to learn knitting in the right way with proper guidance.First week of last month, I didn't know how to cast on. Look at this picture and this is where I am today! Thank you, Mosaic Yarn Studio, and Nick!!!
