As a local contractor, I spend every day of my life here. The people are great and everyone is always so friendly. I do not recall ever having any issues here and I have spent hundreds of thousands over the last 20-25 years. The store is easy to navigate and things are rarely out of stock. That's what keeps me coming back!

I recently had an experience at Menards in Mount Prospect that left me quite frustrated. I needed to make a return but didn't have my original receipt or credit card due to my wallet being stolen. I thought having a picture of the full receipt would suffice, but I was informed by the manager that they could only accept a printed copy of the receipt because they required the numbers at the bottom of it.I questioned why they couldn't simply scan the barcode for the return, but they reiterated that the bottom digits were necessary. This left me unable to complete the return, which was a I disappointing start to my visit.After this encounter, I decided to continue shopping and came across a pack of tape that was supposed to be on sale. However, it rang up at the wrong price. When I returned to address the issue, they only scanned the top barcode to process the return and didn't seem to pay any attention to the numbers at the bottom of the receipt that they had initially insisted were essential.As a regular customer who shops at Menards, I was surprised by the lack of understanding regarding my situation. I had hoped that they would be more accommodating, given my consistent patronage. It would have been helpful if Menards had the ability to reprint the receipt with the necessary numbers at the bottom, rather than relying solely on the original credit card. This would have been a more customer-friendly approach, ensuring a smoother return process for loyal customers like myself.

I was very disappointed with the service I had there I was buying gloves and the cashier literally told me that I changed the price on it even though I didn't. It was the worst experience that I had because she embarrassed me and accused me of lieing I'm not going back

During my recent visit to Menards' paint department, I was disappointed to find no employees present. Along with a few other customers, I searched the store for assistance. Eventually, I found an employee sweeping near the carpet section who agreed to call for help. Unfortunately, the woman who arrived, Jessica, was coarse, and appeared annoyed at having to assist us. This was unusual in my experience, as I had visited the paint department at Menards several times before. When I asked her to match a color for me, she claimed they didn't offer that service, despite my knowledge of having paint matched before. Fortunately, another employee, a gentleman arrived soon after and was able to assist me and the other customers.I'm concerned about the quality of customer service at Menards lately. As a loyal customer of many years, I may consider taking my business elsewhere. Additionally, it's worth noting that the paint department is located in a back corner of the store, making it difficult to even find an employee to ask for assistance.

Recently went to Menards for a few things and when I asked for help, the rude "manager" Mayra greeted me with absolute disgust and annoyance. I was looking for a few things that I couldn't find and acted like I needed help carrying out the entire store to my car!! The way she acts is unprofessional, the greeting I was given was belligerent and this entire experience will make me never come again. I'll be saving "big money" at Home Depot instead, never wasting my money here again, Thanks Mayra.

I ordered a vanity with top on 8/22/23 and was told it should be delivered either 9/25/23 or 9/26/23. Since I had heard nothing and the website didn't seem updated about the order, I called only to be informed the vendor site wasn't updated, they'd have to call. Menards called me back a few hours later and informed me the vendor states it will be another three weeks, no reason given to them. They couldn't bother pressing them for a reason, apparently. This is unacceptable. If you give your customers a time frame, it should be honored. Things do happen, but no communication was provided by Menards to me regarding it, I had to inquire myself. We based an entire bathroom project upon it's arrival and now the contractor has to wait to finish for another month.

Definitely prefer this place to the other national chain nearby. Salesfloor staff is always willing to help and are friendly. Prices are reasonable and nice grocery and pet sections.

Watch the prices, not matching. Shows $7.99, when l check out it was $12.99. Very disappointed. I said that’s the only price for the hammocks They say the Sku is wrong. They didn’t seem to care at all.

Mayra, at the front desk has a bit of attitude, claims even managment cannot be able to help me with a refund issue, i demanded a manager and quickly was able to resolve my problem. This girl does not know how to treat customers the right wat, does not greet or say thank you. Either retrain this girl or get rid of her for the sakes of Menards rep.

Came in for a box fan that was on sale for $11.22. Picked it up where the tag was. Brought it up to the cashier, where it scanned for $22. I stated it should be $11.22. He responded by saying someone else had this problem today, I don't know how it was resolved. I asked him to have someone show me where the $11 ones are. He said he does not have a walkie, and I should find someone there. I find someone there, first they say wer don't have it, let me ask my manager if I can check the top stock. She comes back, and says I'll look. Gets on the ladder, and says we don't have it. I ask since it is where the price for the sale ones are if i can get it for that price. She says she'll ask her manager. She comes back, says the manager says no. I ask to speak with the manager. Manager comes and says, "oh, those ones are over here. The half hour i spent her could have been resolved by someone asking where product is.
