Avoid the Jewel at Elmhurst and Euclid. They hire special needs and borderline special needs so Albertsons can say look at us, see how we help? But, the store managers will yell at, embarrass, and disrespect associates in front of customers and other employees. If you see any manager saying anything loud, pointing a finger at, or being disrespectful to any associate at that store, you need to stop and tell the General Manager. Do not talk to anyone else but the GM. Otherwise there could be repercussions done to the associate.

This is for the manager Kris (older lady) at the liquor/Spirit department. She was so rude and nasty she shouldn't be working in customer service.

I encountered a rude cashier and bagger, both women. Too busy talking to each other to pay attention to what they are doing. Bagger got rude and defensive because SHE left my deli soup 1/2 in the bag instead of tying it up like they always do at Mariano's. Plus I was nice about it but not her. Being such a high priced store I expect some courteousy Plus they talked about me on my way out!!! Jewel can kiss my Arse. I prefer Mariano's so much more.

Ordered for pick up and delivery for delivery at 1:00 to 2:00. I called the customer service line on the order because I saw that my unit wasn't listed. She said the delivery could not be made between 1:00 and 2:00 she suggested I cancel order and get refund which I reluctantly did. I had a doctors appointment at 2:30 so after the call I went to Jewel to pick up my items and she said she was a manager but didn't listen . I gave her a confirm number I had received and all she kept saying is the order was delivered. I said it couldn't be as I was not home but at Jewel getting my items since the other women said she canceled and gave me full credit. Well I go home and was sick and the delivery guy left food in the lobby and while sick I Has to make a few trips to bring good up TERRIBLE service, staff and manager of deliver and go. I will Never shop at Jewel again and you should either. Very rude and not helpful at all

The deli is an absolute clown show here. Under staffed consistently, and the staff that is working looks like they got off the Cookoo's ' Nest bus. Wait time is usually a minimum of 15-20 minutes, sometimes over a half hour. Zzzzzzzzz

Ok so I ended up having to come back here a few weeks later because they are apparently the only store in the Nw suburbs that carries a particular item. So I ran in with the same attitude I face all my interactions with: positive and friendly until I'm treated otherwise. I got my items and I went back to the self checkout and I didn't even try to mess with my own bags, I just scanned my items as quickly as possible but I still got flagged by the machine, and a woman came over to help me. She was NOT the same employee who ruined my day last time, but I do think I saw that employee from my earlier review hovering around the self check out area and I'm blessed and grateful she didn't approach me, if that was her. Anyway, TODAY'S employee was friendly, and I was friendly back, and she didn't make me feel like I was personally responsible for everything that's going wrong in the world, like the employee from my earlier review did. And that is all I ask for! The machine took a ridiculous amount of time to fix itself and kept glitching, and she was very apologetic and she got frustrated with the machine, but I wasn't at all upset or angry or frustrated, I was still pleasant and upbeat because again....she treated me like a human being. And when the machine messed up, she put the blame where it belonged: on the machine, not on me. I wish she could teach the employee from my earlier review how to be a human being. And I wish I'd had the chance to get her name, but it was a holiday and very busy morning. I'm grateful for her and increasing my rating based solely on my experience with her. I have no idea how to contact corporate who commented below.

I always had a good experience the few times I went in here, including my most recent visit to the store. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. Every staff member I would talk to is always attentive and knowledgeable, so if there is anything I want to ask about, they always have answers and they are really such a great help. They do not mostly have products that are out of stock, and instead the products, like everything else they have here, are well-stocked. I can always get everything that I need, and everything is also very accessible. Aside from that, the products they have here are all of good quality. Their bakery, produce, and meat always have a fresh and good-quality selection. I particularly like their bakery because they really get delicious pastries back in there. The prices, on the other hand, are definitely reasonable. Their prices are comparable. I only went in here a few times, but I can say that this store is a good one. The service is great, the store is not always crowded, especially in the morning, and the checkout is always quick thanks to the efficient and friendly cashier back there.

The store in general is ok, but I want to give a special praise to the bakery department. I have received exceptional service here. The cakes are reasonably priced, really tasty and the workers in this area great. I want to especially mention Sabrina who creatively decorated cupcakes at the last minute to 'save my day' with a youth baseball team. Maryjan and Sabrina again today produced a truly wonderful strawberry torte that was decorated nicer than I would have thought possible. This place never disappoints!

So I went to this store recently to grab a few groceries that I needed. I was dead tired and it is the nearest grocery store that is on my way so I decided to just go in here. The store is clean. There were quite a lot of people inside. I saw a lot of items that are on sale which is really great. The selections are properly organized and well stocked. Luckily, the things that I needed are available inside. I only got a few groceries on my cart but the line in the checkout was a bit long, as a result, I waited for a couple of minutes and that time I just wished it to be quick because I am in a hurry. It was my turn and good thing the staff in the counter is nice and friendly.

They “require” masks but not only do they not enforce it for costumers but their staff don’t even obey it. No one wants to wear the masks but if you are going to require it then stop the people who don’t have them on. And as for staff it is a joke they aren’t wearing them. This store is a complete joke and unsafe right now.

I was shopping at the Jewel at Randhurst Village and trying to buy apackage of Cheddar Cheese normally 1.99 for .99 with the Just for you coupon I clipped at home on my computer. The register would not accept the .99 sale price and when I got a Jewel person to check it out he said no I couldn't get the .99 price, He than went to the manager as asked and she said I had to show her that I clipped it. I'm still working a flip pone so it's not on my cell. Did she want me to carry in my computer? What happen to the customer is always right? Especially for $1.00

People always find something to bitch about. That's actually as good of a Jewel Osco as you can find around here. It is a clean and relatively well stuffed huge corporate food chain, not your Trader Joe's type with s"hand selected", "natural" food stuffs. They provide a high safety level, everywhere you can see sanitizers, employees always have the face mask and gloves. Neither dirty nor excessively clean. Nothing stands out one way or the other. Love the selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. They also offer great option for meat, seafood and hot cooked meal. Jewel has focused on customer service and overall the employees try hard to be friendly and helpful. However, there have been a few times when I've tried to get someone to help me either in the Bakery or Meat department and have to admit some of the more senior staff do seem a bit lazy and unhelpful. That being said, there may be a few bad apples but the majority of the employees do a great job helping customers.

As I was trying to use the Jewel across the street from my home I noticed this bread my daughter enjoys: as I picked it up I realized it was moldy! I was totally grossed out, I have seen this before with this Jewel but apparently it’s still a problem.
It’s very obvious that Richard Phillips the stores lead lazy man is not running a good grocery store. I also noticed how when the deli makes there in store salads they just put the fresh on top of the older in the display case; that is not food service correct or how the health department guidelines for handling such products should happen. I saw a standard unclear grocery cart being used to move prepared hot products to the display case and just throw the products in there without care of quality.
This is a store that is not following state, county or local health codes, save your family from a possible food born contamination and illness, and shop elsewhere. I will never purchase another product from this store.
All management needs to be fired for gross negligence in the performance of their assigned duties.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to this location of Jewel - Osco for the extra help they gave my aunt this week. She lives nearby and I've been spending a lot of time with her lately. I took here here for her weekly grocery shopping trip and we needed some extra help finding an item that she was sure they had because she had purchased it many times at this location, but we couldn't find it on the shelf. We asked for some help and a man (I really wish I remembered his name!) went above and beyond to find it for her. He ran around and went into the back room where he suddenly appeared with it! I think they had just had a delivery. Anyway, big thumbs up. Thank you whoever the manager is for training your staff well.
