Calling over and over to get the drug I need. No one knows where my prescription is. So unprofessional.

CVS Specialty Pharmacy doesn't care about people with life threatening or chronic disease. All they care about is money. They cancel orders, transfer your calls to robots, and actively work against any other options you might have to obtain your medication. They don't care who must experience chronic pain, debilitating disease, or even death, as long as their CEO and board have their pockets lined with the cash of the working class. Avoid them at all costs!

They use online ordering system when you need refills. They will not communicate any problems with your insurance or in filling the medication. They do nothing to resolve issues on your behalf. If you don't hear anything from them within a day or two, you half to call them to ensure you get your meds!

I have cancer and in bad health. CVS Speciality tells me that they got funding for my chemo and they send me out the meds. I make them promise that they will not bill me because I don't have $5000 for one month supply. They assure me, it is free. I get the meds, take them, and get a call two months later telling me I owe them the money. I refuse, telling them they told me the cost was covered. THEY ADMITTED THEY WERE WRONG, but now say I owe the month. I tell them I will sue because I needed life saving medication and they promised I would not have to pay. They said that they would take the cost off. That was in November of 2022. Now I get calls every couple of days for them demanding $5000 for the cost of chemo medication that they never took the cost off of. IT is absurd. What a horrible company. They only positive about this is my work insurance finally got rid of this company because it was so bad. Avoid at all cost! SCAMMERS!

This is the worst specialty pharmacy I have ever dealt with - I am in the Pharma industry and if we functioned like them all the patients would get no meds. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!

I previously was fortunate enough to have Accredo as my specialty pharmacy. CVS does not live up to the standard of other specialty pharmacies. I wish I had another option.

Pros: prompt customer service, reliable deliveries.Con: No attempt to use more sustainable alternatives to the non-recyclable and non-reusable styrofoam and other packing products. There are affordable alternatives. Please research and make education on sustainability a priority.

It was reassuring when I finally looked up reviews for CVS Specialty and found them to match my experience. I have unfortunately been required to work through them for the past 12 years and the one trait which they absolutely nailed is consistency. They are by far (not even a comparison) the poster child for corruption, finger pointing, and negligence. Just like the others have mentioned, they try to find every excuse in the book to not ship the prescribed medications. They blame doctors, insurance companies, and alternate third parties for issues. This would appear to be statistically impossible as I have utilized 4 different insurance companies, 5 different doctors, 2 seperate prescription plan managers yet only 1 pharmacy which is the only option if insurance is going to pay for it. They lie about previous conversation, blame others for mistakes, delay necessary and life changing medications, and have even shipped the wrong prescriptions (I highly doubt this would be FDA approved). My advice if you must work with them is to record every conversation and keep your notes up to date. If you do not have to work with them then I envy your position.

Literally the worst prescription experience I've ever had in my life. It's taken over a month and several hours on the phone and I still can't get my prescription filled causing me to miss my required dose. Avoid CVS at all costs...except you probably can't because your insurance provider forces you to use them. Complete scam and waste of my time. I simply cannot fathom how complicated they've made it to fill a single prescription that I've been taking for 10 years through other pharmacies with little issue.

The most awful customer service experience I’ve ever had. Hung up on, transferred to different departments, calling back and having to start from scratch because no one communicated or documented on my case. Given different information depending on who I spoke with. This was over a period of two days. Ultimately did not receive my very much needed medication for my weekly treatment and ended up suffering because of it. Bureaucracy at its finest.

UPDATE:CVS Says they will overnite my medicine before 9am. I agree great decision. Almost immediately I get a text and emaail telling me to refill my medicine that had already been requested. WTH? Then 2 hours later I receive a text message saying my delivery has been changed to 5 days from now due to the 4th holiday and weekend with no shipping. Ugh.Now today at735AM my doorbell rings with the medicine delevered UPS. WTH? Their service is so messed up. You are getting it, no you are not, yes you are getting it, no you are not, to now it is here. Ugh. Nothing is accurate at all. Epic fail after fail. At least now, this month my meds are here. Who knows about next month?Awful service. Actually beyond awful. If you want to be on the phone for 45 minutes to an hour every month to get your meds and then they do not ship it in time, then CVS is for you. They will raise your blood pressure and just keep apologizing. This is the 3rd time that they asked me to refill my meds, and the 3rd time that the delivery date it was supposed to come, has passed. Why ask me a date for delivery for a refrigerated drug if you just ignore it and do not ship it? EPIC FAIL. Everyone has to put you on hold and transfer you. Today after dealing with the robot chat online, I got transferred to a person, who 15 minutes into my chat, disconnected me. EPIC FAIL!There is ZERO service or caring about a customer needing medication in a timely manner. You cannot order it early or the insurance will not pay. So you order it over a week before you need it. Now add a holiday (the 4th of July) and they still do not ship it. Even the pharmacist said that it would ship with no issues. Here I am at home waiting for a delivery that never even shipped. The pharmacist even assured me that my meds would not be held up. LIE!!! It was never even shipped. It probably would have sat in limbo had I not called and wasted another hour of my life checking on it. Total BS.I am so fed up with this mail order pharmacy and the "ship when they feel" attitude. I do not know how people can use this service by choice. I have to use it due to insurance. 1 star reviews must mean that it is a crap shoot to get your meds on time. If they get better I will update my review, but so far - 3 strikes they are out. If you have a choice of pharmacies, do not use CVS mail order specialty.

I've been trying for 4 months to get a specialty med.this week alone I spent 6hr on the phone with them and my insurance provider.on a three way call thought we had it straightened out finally. get a text Thursday they need more info. call them Fri morning they don't have or can't find any records of before..So when you call they can't transfer your call to a supervisor you can't talk to the same person twice because they don't have extensions so you can't call that person bach . it's all been a run around
