My favorite Menards in the area! Massive store, typically very clean, & organized, and with a very large parking lot.
My one and only poor experience at this store was with some (assuming) newly hired employees, that seemed frustrated about me asking some questions concerning ventilation parts.
Besides that one off encounter, never a problem here! A favorite hardware store.

The past several times I have been to this location prices have rung up differently then they were supposed to. Today was no different. I had 2 items ring up, at higher price. The cashier was rude when i brought this up. I had to step away, and speak to a manager to diffuse the encounter with the employee. The manager verified that the price was I stated was correct. I was taken to another register to be make my purchase. When I got home I realized that the bill seemed higher then expected, I checked the receipt only to find out that I was OVERCHARGED AGAIN!!! I purchased ONE single bottle of Splash car window cleaner, yet I was charged for an entire case!!! The store is about 25 minutes from my home, now again I have to be inconvenienced and drive back to the store for a refund of the difference I was overcharged. This is completely unacceptable.

I've been to this location probably a dozen times the past few months to build my deck and various other repairs. During my visit today, I interacted with no less than 7 people from menards and all were great except for the supervisor at the registers. She was very unpleasant and really soured my experience both today and with menards in general. I look forward to meeting all the nice people at Lowe's for my upcoming kitchen remodel.

Went into the store to get a piece of indoor outdoor carpeting cut from the large roll
Waited for 25 minutes in the area calling their many different numbers to get assistance
Finally someone came with a huge attitude
And Miss cut the carpeting even though I gave them the correct sizes making it larger than what I wanted and then wanted me to pay for the difference also refusing to trim the piece down for me saying she was too busy
When this whole rigmarole was going on someone walked off with my cart and the rest of my purchases from the store
Went up to the front desk to speak with Valerie the manager on duty who had a very could care less attitude while other employees were standing there holding up the desk .

Customer service
Seems to be a huge issue
So does the attitude problem with their employees at this location
Instead of constantly apologizing to people who post a complaint
Maybe management should get busy and do their job and train their people properly
No one will come in to pay for an item if they're treated badly the employees are rude or don't know what they're doing.

I've been working with Menards on my laminate countertop for months now. This has been unilaterally the worst experience. We have had to delay our construction for over a month. We brought in the measurements from the cabinet company, however the template was still wrong. We gave the dimensions for the sink and over and over they kept getting it wrong. We provided links, actually screenshots of the measurements and we went into the store multiple times to make sure it was then accurate. Then we were told the product will be here May 7th. It is now May 21 and we still have no product and no update as to when we would get the items. We have followed up at least biweekly, but at no point were we told that delivery was not included in the price. Can you imagine coming there for over a month atleast on a weekly basis and also calling weekly, at no point we were told that shipping wasn't included. We only find out when we called again to get an estimate on when we will receive the product. The price from the original quote has gravely increased and on top we had to pay additional for shipping.
We also have full time jobs and have wasted more time at Menards than we would like. We have yet to receive the items and our biweekly calls have lead us nowhere to tell us when we will actually receive the product.
This was such a hassle, the time and money we wasted we could have gone with a reputable company for a better quality item and better customer service. We cannot wait for this order to be done and to never have to deal with Menards again. We would never recommend or use your services again.

Michael in Building Materials is that rare unexpected gem that makes all the difference. My wife and I stopped in last Saturday to shop for storm doors. We settled upon a pair of Larson doors and Michael was immediately helpful with good info. Not ready to take with, 'no problem, we can hold them 4 weeks.' Installation? Not directly, 'but here's a few referrals.'
You get the idea. What a pleasure!

Menards is charging a $5 service fee on all propane refills, the service sucked the employee was slow and barely knew how to use the machine. I would go to Tebons on Harlem or Uhaul on Waukegan road.

Menards, where human rights only exist in warm months. I find it easy to boycott stores when they violate human rights and labor laws.
