“This is definitely the best retro spot in town, in my opinion. The owner is incredibly friendly and loves to share the background stories of the items in the shop. The prices are very reasonable, and the honesty about the quality of the pieces sets this place apart from online purchases or higher-end stores. I found a stunning pendant lamp here, and I always make sure to pay a visit whenever I'm nearby. Let's promote local shopping and show some love to independent stores!”
“I love that I can pick up fair trade coffee right in Evanston at this great little shop. The gift selection is great, and the women who manage the store are really mission driven.”

Larry has a tremendous eye for quality pieces that you'll want in your home for many years to come. Scout is one of the local, home-grown businesses that is so deserving of our support.”
“One of the most enjoyable shopping experiences and some of the best customer service I have ever received for a major purchase. The showroom is super nice and generally quiet so you have the time and space to decide from the multiple styles and price points. The quality of all furniture is excellent, much better than expected, especially when you consider how reasonably priced it is. We purchased a complete bedroom set in August 2023 and there was an odd size issue with the mattress. After a phone call and some pictures, the staff was extremely apologetic and resolved it as quickly as possible by replacing the mattress. And the delivery and installation crew were a pleasure to deal with. Overall, this was a five star experience with Dania. We're definitely looking forward to shopping there again and buying more from Dania.”
“Kylie and her team did an outstanding job and making an odd space in our kitchen have a beautiful purpose with the construction of our banquette. We had some issues with the fabric and Recovered Interiors was able to remedy the situation and make this space a truly "wow" area in our home. The piece was made well and love how it looks.”
“Always great, locally owned business to visit. Very tastefully curated space and the product is just as amazing. The staff is superb, not pushy but attentive. We need more businesses like this.”
“Oh My Goodness! I am I'm love with this store. The Japanese incense are smokeless, and smell wonderful. They have a great selection, and the person who works there is super-friendly, and knows a great deal about the products that are sold. I love the teacup sets and everything about this treasure of a store.”

“Simply the best! I have been looking for a dinning room table for months and haven’t been able to find it. I just happened to be in Andersonville for lunch when we walked past GL Home Decor and I found my dream table. GL is independently owned and curated with an exceptional collection of timeless classics, modern, and mid century modern furniture. Chris (store owner) is a gem. He has an excellent eye and shares his knowledge freely to help his customers create just the right experience for their home. Chris has managed to create a store experience that feels like home — from the gorgeous vignettes to the warm friendly staff, its raises the bar.”

“The pictures shown were different from when I went. The store was quiet but some people are just shy and timid. I tired on a few items but unfortunately didn’t fit correctly. I did buy a paper link chain that I was trying to learn more about. The jewelry was my favorite to browse.”

Our contractor actually recommended Novukit and we were very lucky to find and work with Ihor. Ihor is responsive, accurate and reliable, and the cost was incredibly competitive. 10AM - 6PM
5632 N Clark St, Chicago“I have been curious about Winifred Grace for some time; it's in the neighborhood but I've never really had a chance (or found the parking) to visit. But I've followed on Instagram and they have some beautiful jewelry, and I love jewelry, so I stopped in today whilst waiting for my coffee order at The Coffee Studio to be ready. The staff were nice; I was greeted immediately upon entering. I did get there as they were opening, so it was just me and the three employees. I wandered around for ten minutes or so. They have some beautiful merchandise for sure, and work with local artists as well as those further afield for their jewelry (at the very least). They carry pieces from at least half a dozen artists. Most of it is gold, and I'm not a fan of gold but they had a few silver pieces that interested me and I may be back for. The clothing was a skip for me, since I'm not sure they carry anything above a size four or so. They also had some clips/hair bands/head bands, and why did I spend a ridiculous amount on these? Because they're beautiful, I guess. I think what originally brought WG to my attention is that they do permanent jewelry. I'm really intrigued by this so I've checked into the places I know do it in the city. WG has particularly beautiful chains, and they have a variety of charms from red which to choose (I like the mama one now that I can call myself that!). I need to look at price and confirm that this is where I want to do permanent jewelry... but I think I might be back for that. As a word to the wise, the employee told me that I could come and do it as a walk in, but they recommend appointments on the weekend because it can be very busy. There's nothing but street parking around here, and it's not in the busiest part of Andersonville where there's more parking. There's some street parking on the surrounding streets, and don't forget about Ashland or as far north as Victoria and whatnot up by Gethsemane, which also has a short metered portion.”
“This is a charming store that has lots of really cool men and women’s clothing. The staff are super nice and the prices are very reasonable. They have some very cool “neurodivergent” pins, cups, swag so if you have family that are on the autism spectrum it has some great gifts. I bought A nice Chicago T-Shirt for my husband. Location in Lincoln Square is great and nice place to find a special gift after lunch at one of the local eateries.”
“I came, I saw, I conquered! I had a an idea of what I wanted and I looked everywhere for it, Costco, Ross, Kohls, TJ Max, and HomeGoods. I didn’t find the thick faux fur throw anywhere but Home and Beyond and at a wonderful price. Thanks for the deal Ray!”
