“We used the Welcome Waggin for the first time this week to put our 14 year old miniature schnauzer to sleep. We had never used a mobile vet service and didn’t know what to expect, but Dr. Fagan and Sarah were very kind and helped us through a very difficult experience. They explained all of our options and the process to us, as well as any potential things that could happen given my dog’s cardiac issues. They were so gentle with her and gave us enough time to say goodbye and provided us with some words of encouragement that helped me feel significantly better. I feel so much more at peace knowing my dog passed away in her favorite spot with her favorite people in a relaxing and loving environment. “Highly professional and effective practice! I’ve taken my dog to Dr. Stephens for about 3 years. Routine checks, surgery, and the occasional emergency visit. He and his team have aways been accommodating easy to work with.. As a somewhat novice pet owner he has been wonderful at explaining things thoroughly so that I know what to look for and what to do. Sharing care tips freely. I enjoy taking my dog here because I can tell Dr. Stephen cares are about the animals and seeing their growth through the years. The care is always personalized and not rushed and not commercial feeling. I also enjoy being able to come in w my dog to be there and comfort where needed.”

“Our cat suffered a paw injury and began limping and we started calling around vets but couldn’t get any soon appt, we called Gentle Care Vet and they got us in same day morning appt ! Same thing happened again when we needed an appt and again, we were given a same day appt. The Dr is patient and takes his time, he examined her, trimmed her nails, gave an antibiotic shot and prescription for home. He took time to show us how to administer the oral antibiotics as well. They are very responsive over the phone as well. Turns out our cat is somewhat injury prone since she wounded her ear recently and I wasn’t sure if it was an injury, ear infection, or ear mites and the Dr was able to look at pics of her ear and reassure me it wasn’t ear mites but a wound. Would highly recommend !”

“This is a late but well deserved review! FVAWL has the BEST STAFF I have ever encountered anywhere! Please ignore the one bad review on this page! They have neutered a pit mix for me 6 years ago. I had received several quotes from several of the well known animal clinics in the Aurora/Oswego area. The quotes were astronomical because it was for a pit mix. A friend gave me the phone number for FVAWL. I called and received a call back regarding my dog. I asked if there was an upcharge for a pit mix. There was not!! The neuter was based on weight! The cost was so affordable! Everything went well! The cost of the neuter, shots, chip, and meds was around $200! Fast forward to the present, they have now neutered my cat in 2021 and continue to provide yearly shots for him!!
The clinic is staffed by volunteers!! Instead of complaining, lend some for your time. I will be looking into volunteering myself.”
