I’m an employee working at this thrift store here in Montgomery. Please don’t try to apply to work here because the assistant store manager and the key holder is very mean and super bossy. Those two ladies aren’t very nice people. The two ladies treats us 100% bad and I even called Human Resources a couple of times to report about the assistant store manager and the key holder. I told the supervisor of how the key holder and the assistant store manager treats us and she told me that “She’ll talk to them” and everything. I’m not sure if she talked to them about the situation or not. The assistant store manager who is Asian or Filipino is very racist to all Hispanics, African Americans and whatever race people are they. She only gives white people discounts and sell the furniture cheap. Even if you’re Hispanic, she’ll sell you very expensive. The assistant store manager does is discriminate, due to her being racist. In case if you don’t know English, the higher the price. The whole entire store, like customers know that the assistant store manager and the key holder is very mean and treats customers and cashiers poorly. One of the employees left back in September of last year because the assistant store manager called him a “Homophobic.” Plus, another employee, who is an attendant got fired this month for no reason because the assistant store manager and the key holder doesn’t like him. That’s completely messed up and the attendant shouldn’t have gotten fired in the first place because he didn’t deserve that. I don’t know what the assistant store manager and the key holder have against him. He doesn’t deserve to get fired, he deserves to
keep his job and continue working. The key holder thinks that she’s the “manager”, but she’s not. The store manager would come and go, but sometimes they don’t listen or sometimes they don’t do anything. During the summertime, the whole store is very hot on the inside and all of us employees are sweating and they don’t turn the air conditioner on. I don’t know how can they handle the heat inside the store while it’s hot outside during the summer. How ridiculous and stubborn of them not turning the air conditioner on when I’m sweating while I’m working. I’m the nicest, quiet girl who is a hard worker, who never gets into problems, but the assistant store manager and the key holder who works at The Salvation Army Store here in Montgomery, are problematics. According to the application, it says “Their mission to preach the gospel of Jesus without discriminating people.” Again, all they do is discriminate. How can they deny people for a bottle of water, discriminate people for the color of their skin and their sexuality? Once again, please don’t try to apply to work here.

I not Recomending this The place.The lady who name Maria she treated the Cashier vary Rude ,from other customers who are witness how she was so Rude,And The Manager Filipino she Don't doing nothing,
Just because people need to work is not fear other ones treating unfear...
And Prices is to high..

Very rude staff. I will not shop here nor donate again. Staff members were rolling their eyes at me etc. I felt extremely uncomfortable.. strangest encounter too, trying to donate new items etc.. she kept saying my stuff wasn’t good and “ no take”

Dont bother, find another place to donate- goodwill sucks too. Good off lease office equipment not accepted by $15/hour ladies who dont want to be troubled raking in that wage. I guess they are not helping anyone anywhere either.

Went in to find my son something for a job interview I noticed I white guy in a dress shirt start watching me and when I went to pay I look on the side of me he was fake looking at the glasses, I have a belly cause yes I’m not skinny I had on my work jacket cause I came on my break he kept looking at my belly like a stuffed clothes in it or something, can’t shop peacefully being a black women and it’s sad
