After attempting to use the drive thru and pushing the call button just to obtain cash using valid identification, it took too long for someone to come to the window. I thought it was closed or they no longer service customers at the window/drive-thru so I decided to drive around, park and go inside the lobby.I went inside to fill out the withdrawal slip and presented it to the teller with my identification. I believe I made mention that I forgot my credit cards in a shirt pocket left at home and needed cash to go for a meal at a buffet. :) Anyway, I was asked if I had my debit card or could I use my debit card. I was puzzled because I had presented valid identification as required with these types of transactions. I thought there were other reasons why I was asked about the debit card -- maybe the teller did not trust me even though I showed my identification. I informed the teller or asked, is the identification not sufficient enough? I was assured it was sufficient. The teller tried to save face by saying it would be faster had I had the debit card. I said well I left all of my cards in my shirt pocket at home and I have my identification. I asked if I went through the drive thru would the teller has asked the same question to present a debit card. The teller said "No." A debit card would not have been requested if it was drive thru window situation and just presenting the identification would have been enough along with the withdrawal slip. Also, IF I had my debit card, I would have just gotten the money from one of the ATMs and not even gone inside and especially would have not asked a teller to process such a transaction. This led me to believe there was some other reason why the teller would not only need the valid picture identification but also ask about or for a debit card. I kind of let it slide because I did see some debit card machines at the teller station where I stood.Just be cautious here they may not trust certain types of customers here perhaps based on certain attributes even if you present valid identification to retrieve your own cash out of your own bank account. There probably should be some testers to determine if different types of customers are treated differently based on certain attributes or just determine if the bank asks the same questions of every customer like for additional identification or a debit card to retrieve cash especially when a valid identification has been presented... do certain customers have to have some extra form of identification? Maybe some investigation could be done to get data if based on certain attributes of the customer, the teller has to ask for or asks for additional forms of identification even if a valid and current identification issued by government may not be seemingly sufficient for that teller and the teller has to ask for debit card even if the reason for entering the bank was that the customer left debit card at home and had the customer had the debit/credit card, the customer would not have even gone to the bank and would have charged the buffet meal for the day and not needed cash.attributes could be gender, color, disability, ethnicity, creed, orientation....etc.

Walked in today to open an extra checking account with 20 mins to close - was told not possible because it was 45+ mins to open even though I have multiple personal and business accounts with Chase - even said we could snap through the questions, but was declinedSent me to branch up the road saying they close an hour later - only to find that’s not true and they also refusedWent to BMO bank to open who said that open means open - so they would have never turned me awayConsidering now moving all of my accounts from Chase to BMO since taking care of their customers does not seem to be a top priority

Younger female associate today needs to learn that her job is to be a bank associate and not to flirt with every (married) man who comes walking in asking for a fat check.

This Chase location is horrible and Steve the manager couldn’t help with an issue on my account. Just gave me an 800 number to call. Thanks but that’s on the back of my debit card already

Tellers were nice. Average customer service. Nothing wrong with it, just not stand-out either.Nah, this one star is for theft by Chase Bank. For real. I got an insurance check for a ben via ups and tore the check opening the envelope. So I call Chase cause they're the bank my insurance uses. They say sure bring it in and they'll cash it since I don't bank with them. Anyways we get through the whole thing with the teller chatting having a decent conversation being very polite and she's acting like it's no problem to cash the check; has me sign the back all this stuff. And then after I've given her my ID, signed the check over, talked on the phone earlier, is when they tell me "oh it's a $10 fee to cash this check." $10 to cash a check that is going through your bank? $100 check that is through you, and you're going to take 10% of it?That's more than I would have gotten charged if I went to some dodgy payday loan shop on the other side of the tracks. At least those people tell you about fees up front before they get you to the point where there's no turning back. Un-fckn-believable. I will never bank with Chase and I'm now going to talk to my fiance about having her close her account there too. Bet.

You NEVER can get through to speak to a person. Recordings repeat options. NEVER answer the phone. Get a message that "they are currently serving other customers, please call back." Horrible customer service.

This bank discriminates against women. They would not cash savings bonds for me because i got married and the savings bonds are in my maiden name even with birth certificate and marriage license. Employees are rude and they are not interested in gaining new customers or maintaining existing customers. I recommend people go to Aurora Bank and Trust or any Wintrust bank.

This company no longer cashes US Savings Bonds for customers that have changed their last name due to marriage or divorce (even with proper documentation). This policy unfairly discriminates against women, since we are the ones that usually change our last names. I no longer recommend Chase as a place to do business.

Very unacceptable. And HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I walk in there asking if I can open up an account and they said no we're sorry we can't open up an account right now. I was like well I need an account open right now because I have some stuff I need to get deposited plus coming in. They said well you have to make an appointment and I was like OK when is the next availability?.. They say sometime in the next two weeks. But it's kind of wrong because you have three bank tellers working the front desk and there is 2 that are sitting in the little box offices, that are on their phones like seriously?... Horrible customer service
