I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience I had with Old School Classics (OSC). I have read some of the reviews left by some people. If you can read between the lines on some of them others appear to be dated a possible caused by old employees of OSC. The reason I open with this is because that was not my experience at all!! I had My 1967 Ford Mustang worked on by Bruce and his team and I had a flawless experience. During the estimate process we addressed several concerns Bruce had over the work and put in action plans to address them if they were needed to speed up the work approval process and complete the work quickly. Now I will say they are a smaller shop but the attention to detail pays off in the end. Great Job to Bruce and his Team. Definitely will be looking you up on my next project. Thanks Again.

Great experience with the restoration of my '69 Charger. Bruce and his team are great to work with and walked me through the process as the project progressed. As with any restoration, there are stumbling points you can't account for, but his team did a GREAT job communicating with me so we could work through them. It was totally worth it when I saw the finished product.

I drove my 1972 Cadillac Eldorado resto-mod from Los Angeles to Chicago for a Cadillac convention. After 2 weeks of delicious deep dish pizza, museums, and tours, I was ready to return. I went to start my car and discovered the battery was dead. AAA replaced the battery, and discovered the engine would crank but would not turn over. I needed to find a repair shop or make arrangements to ship it home.I began a Google search and quickly began calling “classic auto repair shops”, asking for help. The replies ranged from “We can’t take you for 2 weeks” to “We don’t work on cars that old”. I finally dialed Old School Classics in Monee IL. Bruce listened patiently to my predicament and said he would help. I had the car towed from downtown Chicago to his shop in Monee. Bruce greeted me and began working on it right away, with help from Mike and Ray. By the end of the day Bruce had isolated the problem to the EFI control module, one of the many modifications I had made to improve performance.Bruce continued working on my car first thing next morning. He reached technical support at Holley, who helped him verify that that the ECM module was fine. They directed Bruce to a hidden relay that tested bad. After replacing the relay, the engine fired up perfectly. I was very grateful to pay this bill, be on my way and avoid a $4,000 charge to ship the car back home. My car ran perfectly for the 2,000 mi trip back to Los Angeles.Bruce, Mike, and Ray are honest “Old School” people. You can trust their expertise. They deliver excellent service quickly and efficiently.

If I ever decide to paint my car again, or if I ever get another car that needs paint I will most definitely call these guys again. I drop off my 1988 Chevy caprice to them and when I got it back it looked completely amazing. The work here is awesome! I will definitely be coming back again.

Bruce and the team at OSC are great! I have taken several vehicles to them for paint work and the finished product has always turned out top-notch. Bruce communicates with you throughout the whole process and allows you to stop in to see how things are going. They always finish the job on time and will stay late in the evening to not miss the deadline. I would definitely recommend taking any restoration, bodywork, paint work, or etc. to Old School Classics! Five Stars!!!

I would rate old school classics a 5/5 because I brought a 69 charger there to have it recently restored. Overall I would say the job they did was worth the price I was charged! My charger wasn't there longer than 6months. I would recommend that you call theses guys at old school classics for anything you need done to your cars there very good at what they do.

After reading these reviews and other negative experiences I heard, I wouldn’t let this shop touch my Lowe’s John Deere riding mower to have the blades sharpened and a tune up…

Bought a ‘70 Charger 500 from these guys in December 2015 while deployed, had a good friend handle everything for me and the overall buying portion went pretty well. Mr Young sent me pics of the car, stated it was getting new sheet metal, and it seemed like I was getting a great deal. Fast forward to now, I was finally able to get enough free time to travel back to Illinois and trailer the car from my parents to where I currently live to finish the car myself. Decided to take the motor out and front clip off to see what kind of shape the sub frame and inner fenders were in. Frame was rotted out on passenger side and partially collapsed, outside of frame rot was covered with 22ga sheet metal to make the appearance of a solid frame. Front of rocker panels were rotted out, these guys never even removed the front fenders but that wasn’t the kicker, body filler looked pretty wavy under the driver side door so I hit it with a sander. After sanding off almost 1/4” of body filler I found that the rocker panels were rotted out. Mind you that this body filler was slapped on top of rust and the original and second layers of paint. They did replace the rear quarters but they slapped them on over a rusted out rear frame section which I’ll have to remove their work to do it right like they should have done in the first place. So to back track a little bit, Mr Young sent me pics from the previous restoration making it look like everything was fresh and done right, shortcuts were taken in multiple areas rather than doing it right with sheet metal repair, and while I was still gone my buddy asked for some parts that were missing(was told they would get the parts to him, never received them). I know this all happened almost 2 years ago but I’d be cautious with what kind of product you may be getting from Old School Classics.
