I called and reserved a car, gave them my card information. I drove an hour and a half to pick it up. To be told that there weren't any cars available. Wasted my time and customer service was disrespectful when I called to figure out what happened.

Reserved a car for 1:00 pm Got dropped off at the Moline IL airport and they proceed to tell me they do not have any cars. Now I have to hint down a ride since I was suppose to be driving home, I asked a Dollar representative why didn’t anyone called text or email me and he stated that an automated text or email should’ve been sent nothing was sent. If you are renting a car from Dollar because you...need a car, they are not reliable, even with a reservation.I made a reservation for a vehicle in order to get to my parents' house - as a surprise - and who live over an hour away from the airport. When my husband and I landed in Moline at 9:50pm no one was at the counter to rent us our car, despite having a reservation AND their hours being listed as open until 10:30. Nearby agents confirmed the employee had already left for the day. The customer service phone number took us through an automated menu without any options that matched our situation, so we found ourselves having to "chat" with a representative on Facebook messenger.The only option they could provide for us was to come back the next day when they open again (which was ridiculous since we were staying over an hour away and the whole point of the rental was to get out of Moline). We asked if they would pay for our hotel in order for us to do so and they declined and then ghosted us in the chat.They made no effort to make things right, apologize, or acknowledge the mistake. And several customers came though that evening with similar issues and frustrations, so it definitely wasn't a situation where we made a booking mistake or one customer slipped through the cracks.Unfortunately, Dollar has lost my trust that my reservation will stand upon arrival, so I do not feel comfortable reserving with them again.

Made the mistake of using Dollar again. Again out of cars and had to wait over an hour for it.

Rented a car and EZ pass was invalid throughout my travels. I called and they said save receipt to be refunded when I return the car. Waited in line 1.5 hrs for them to tell me they couldn’t do anything . After arriving home called the company and they refused to help me when it was their mistake to begin with. Never again will I rent from this company.

I didn’t even make it to actually renting a car through this company tried calling to ask questions about the pricing of a reservation I was charged that I made. I was hung up on a total of five times, finally said forget this and canceled and went through the more expensive car rental company bc the poor customer service and all the awful reviews I’ve read.

The issues I had was not with this location but with Dollar Car rentals in general. They over charged me And this is my home location. My issue was in South Carolina (Charleston)

A terrible Car Rental company from poor service at the desk to the company sending me statement of charges two days later for a crack in the glass that I can tell you was never there in the week I had the vehicle. I will never use this company again

Do not rent with these people. Dollar car rental is so horrible. I was told when I did my rental that if I used their ipass I would only be charged a one time fee (less than $5) plus the exact toll charges only. NOT TRUE. I received my first charge from a toll on my credit card for $16.50, which was $1.50 toll plus a &15.00 service fee from Dollar. Now I have to look forward to each charge separately for the $15.00 fee plus a very small toll. I will have paid nearly $100 for using their Ipass...which should have amounted to under $20 for all charges!!! When I called customer services, the agent named Sabine hung up on me when I tried to talk to her. Do not rent with these people!! You will be sorry.

Charged me 488 dollars for just 1/4 gas was not there!! It was half a tank when I picked up and I returned it 3 quarters. I have called customer care, spoke with manager. No response

This was my first time renting a car from Dollar Car Rental and I will never again rent from them. The experience was absolutely ridiculous. When i rented the car from my local airport, I was never told about additional fees, emergency items if need be, etc..I rented my car on March 24th and turned it in early, March 29th (suppose to turn in on March 31) and was not credited for turning it in early and also was charged an early return fee of $25.00!! I have rented cars before and have never heard of being penalized for bringing a car back nor not getting a credit for one day!! Called the 800 # and they basically said, we cant give you money back for returning early but as a one time courtesy will return the early return fee..BE CAREFUL WHEN RENTING FROM THIS COMPANY!!

When dropping off my rental keys in the drop box, I immediately noticed I left sunglasses on the dashboard. I went into the terminal to the counter and the counter was closed (even though it was before midnight). I went back out to the car area and the guys cleaning cars said no one was there from Dollar and they had no access to the car or key drop box. I filled out a report on line, called every number possible, and promised call-backs which were never received. Surprisingly, my 200.00 Costa sunglasses went missing. When I asked about security cameras in the rental car parking lot, I was told they do not have any, possibly the airport does but NOT the car rental companies. So I guess I should have broken into the car to retrieve my sunglasses so there ARE NO SECURITY CAMERAS!!!
