Visited The Goddard School, Mokena for their science fair and for science related activities. It was a pleasure to interact with such bright, confident, smart youngsters - the ambience created by the school and staff is perfect for nurturing happy, inquiring minds in a fun, bright environment.'

My son attended The Goddard School for 2 years from age 3 -5 years old. I can't say enough good things about Goddard! He received excellent care! All the teachers are warm and friendly. They seem to really care about each child. Staffing was relatively stable during our years, so the kids got to know the staff and vise-versa. I especially appreciated the Pre-K program. Ms. Lopa was an amazing teacher! The kids learned a great deal of K level material in her class. My son's kindergarten teacher was very impressed with his math skills and knowledge of the letters and letters-sounds (all learned at Goddard). I appreciated the daily communications through the app. It was a treat to see pictures of my son throughout the day. Lisa, the director is great to work with and went out of her way to coordinate with us on special travel needs for our family when it was needed. My son felt cared for and apart of family at Goddard. He looked forward to school every day which helps to set your mind at ease as a parent. I highly recommend The Goddard School!

I'm amazed and delighted by this school! The classrooms are spacious, clean and full of materials for the little ones to play with and learn from.My daughter turns 5 in October, which means she will miss the September cutoff date to get into Kindergarten. This essentially would mean she would be falling behind nearly a year in school, since she will be close to 6 when she goes into her first year of Kindergarten. Thankfully this school has a special class for older pre-k children. In the Junior pre-k program, my daughter is getting exposed to a variety of subjects such as Spanish, yoga, math, or sign language just to name a few. She doesn't lose interest quickly because teachers are constantly challenging her with new things, and most importantly she is happy and is enjoying herself. She comes home with a smile on her face and is excited to share with me what she has learned at school.Staff, teachers, and owners know me and my daughter by our names (not something I can boast about other places). Everyone is super friendly and the environment is very welcoming. Not to mention the security in the place...nice cameras and hand scanner! It gives me great peace of mind :)If you want your little one to get the care she/he deserves while getting an excellent education, send them here. You won't regret it. Thank you for all you do!!!

My son's first daycare experience was at The Goddard School of Mokena, and watching how he grew in the 8 months he was enrolled was astonishing. He went from a shy little boy who was unable or unwilling to socialize to a complete social butterfly, with friends he looked forward to seeing each day.Every drop-off and pick-up, we were warmly greeted by staff from all over the school, not just the director and his teacher. Everyone in there seemed to know his name, so it was great to see how the entire staff took the time to know each and every child in their care. I felt safer leaving my toddler here than I could have imagined.

Huge let down. Owner just wants the cash, and denied my girlfriend to pick up my son because Mom said No randomly. Whoever signs up the child has all control. Watch out now

As a parent, finding the right care for your child is no small task. However, after enrolling my children at Goddard School, I can confidently say that it has been an outstanding experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, it was clear that this school was special. The owner, Neel, took us on an hour long tour, showed us everything and answered all our questions and concerns. Since this was my son’s first time in care, they allowed us to do a meet and greet with his teacher to ensure he felt comfortable with her. They went above and beyond since our first meeting making us feel comfortable and welcome. The teachers at Goddard School Preschool are exceptional. My children have loved all of their teachers, from Miss Amanda, Mr. Eric, and Miss, Lopa. Each teacher has taken the time to get to know our children individually, ensuring that they feel safe, supported, and valued. It is evident that the staff genuinely love what they do, and their passion shines through in their interactions with my children. The curriculum at Goddard School is thoughtfully designed to foster development in young learners. It strikes a perfect balance between structured learning and play-based activities. The teachers create engaging lesson plans that encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Examples are my son (5) can read and write all his letters, knows the sounds they make, knows the days/months of the year in English and Spanish, knows the alphabet and colors in Spanish, and can even do a lot of this in sign language as well! Both of my children have blossomed intellectually, socially, and emotionally under their guidance. The preschool also emphasizes the importance of character development, teaching values such as kindness, empathy, and respect, which I greatly appreciate. The facilities at Goddard School are top-notch. The classrooms are bright, spacious, and thoughtfully organized with age-appropriate materials and resources. They also maintains a high standard of cleanliness and safety, ensuring a healthy environment for the children.Communication between the preschool and parents is excellent. Miss Lisa, the Director, keeps us well-informed about our child's progress, activities, and any upcoming events. Their open-door policies further encourage parent involvement, fostering a strong partnership between home and school, I often stop at the front office just to talk to the teachers about what is going on with the school and my children’s progress. They have been incredibly accommodating of their needs and have found a way to work with us through all of the things my children have needed.I cannot recommend Goddard School Preschool enough. It has exceeded my expectations in every way. The compassionate staff, well-rounded curriculum, outstanding facilities, and effective communication make it a standout choice for children any age. My children’s growth and happiness are a testament to the remarkable care they receive at Goddard School. If you're looking for a school / daycare that will nurture your child's potential and provide a strong foundation for their educational journey, Goddard School is the place to be.

Our two children have been enrolled at Goddard for a year now, and it's been an exceptional experience. The staff is warm and caring, the kids feel safe and the level of educational development they're demonstrating is almost unbelievable. The focus on "learning through play" is a winning method for early childhood development and our kids will go off to schools with a firm foundation, ahead of the developmental curve.

Our son has been on the infant room at Goddard and we love it! The teachers are amazing, school is so clean, and the communication is on point. They also send multiple pictures of our little one throughout the day which is our favorite part!

I cannot say enough great things about The Goddard School. My son has been here for a little over a year and the improvement in his speech and development has been absolutely phenomenal. He loves every teacher he has had here and is always talking about all of the fun activities he does with his friends at school. This is a place that truly cares about each child as their own and will take the time to make sure they are excelling as much as they possibly can.

My family really enjoys Goddard. The directors, owners, and teachers are all awesome and attentive. We are huge fans of Ms. Mya, she’s extremely thoughtful and positive and we love the Tadpole app and the photos and feedback we receive each day. I personally love the flexible scheduling as my work schedule doesn't always require full time care. I know that my son is in good hands while he is there and that feeling is priceless to me.

We sent our son here for about 8 months. Initially we were starstruck by the school. The experience and setting are focused on education while providing childcare for families. The building is very nice and more secure than others, the curriculum is impressive at face value, the owners were kind and the director and staff were very attentive (mainly Lisa who is a wonderful person). We had a great first few months with a gem of a teacher who had excellent classroom management and our son adored her. They utilize tadpoles so you can follow along with the daily activities and get an occasional photo of your child during the day, which is a nice plus. Unfortunately, as time went on, they moved teachers around and we ended up having 4 or 5 (?) different teachers in just a few months. The communication from change to parent was poor as we were never informed of each change, just the initial. The website is never updated either and they don’t offer parent teacher meetings, so we had no idea who was in charge of our child during the day. This led to a lot of confusion and our son started dreading going to school. A chunk of the staff are properly experienced in education, but it is not a requirement for hire. Goddard has all of the frills of a school setting but the requirements of the teachers and aides are less than, which is likely the reason for turnover rate due to high expectations of staff for what I imagine is minimal pay. The student to teacher ratio was followed to the maximum, which meant less eyes on the children. Twice I had to change my son before leaving due to an accident not taken care of (during potty training), there were two biting incidents, one was properly handled and documented but the second time wasn’t communicated at all and when asked about it was said to have happened the first time (not possible as the bruise appeared days later after attending). Also and understandably, our son was getting sick very frequently, almost never ending. He was sick from the time we enrolled him on. Kids are germy, but if proper hygiene techniques are encouraged and sick kids are sent home as they should be, we wouldn’t have been sick as often as we were. Obviously you pay for the days in advance so we really only received probably 60% of the care we paid for due to keeping our sick kid home to prevent the spread. In the end, we chose to unenroll our son as this ended up being more of an extracurricular due to change in circumstances than a necessity. If the experience was better we would have continued to send him. The owners and director were gracious with the change and helpful in the process. I would cautiously recommend Goddard Mokena, but would not send my children back knowing what I know now.
