I am a carpenter by trade and I’m right handed . My right wrist was diagnosed by doctor Kronen as having two torn tendons. After consultation with doctor Kronen he decided surgery would be successful in making my wrist work and feel normal again . I expressed how I wanted all and any procedures to be done ,whatever he may find while performing surgery to make my wrist useable again since I had to be out of work for four months anyways. Gary Kronen agreed that he would make sure all was well and if not he would go through and fix it . I was excited to know that I was going to be fixed and the pain would no longer affect my lively hood . Six to eight weeks after surgery my cast was removed and I was told to start using my wrist for light duty and to do occupational therapy so I did . From the moment the cast was removed my wrist hurt all over which I thought was normal for at least another few months of rehabilitation. In between rehabilitation I had appointments with a few of doctor Kronens PA ‘s . I expressed how my wrist was not responding and it was in more pain now then before surgery . His PA said well it looks like you’re just going to have to start using your left hand once you start working , as if my wrist problem was just a joke to him ! Weeks went by and then months went by no changes and I was still experiencing pain in spots I had no pain in before surgery .struggling to do work and activities I decided to go back to him after six months post surgery with the same issues because i figured my wrist should have been better by now .Once i got to mid America orthopedic Doctor kronen performed another X-ray on me to see what was going on in my wrist post surgery and he said you have wrist tendinitis and this is just poor timing ,this has nothing to do with my surgery !! My wife and I were shocked how he immediately made sure this was not his doing . The amount of narcissism he expressed to me merely having questioned why my wrist wasn’t better was alarming to say the least . As I said earlier in this review that I’m writing I felt the same pain since day one of the cast being off yet this is just poor timing and nothing to do with the surgery as he stated. Today 8 months later I struggle in pain to swing my hammer at work ,I can not throw a ball for my dogs without pain , I can’t lift weights or do push ups ,I can’t give someone a firm hand shake anymore , I can’t go bowling my wrist gives away , I can’t wrench on cars like I use to , I'm taking 800 + milligrams of anti inflammatory otc drugs that do little to ease the pain and I wear two different types of wrist braces , every day is a struggle. Doctor Kronen let me down, don’t let him do the same to you!

August 30, 2024, I saw Jeremy Bell at MidAmerica Orthopaedics as I had fallen and hurt my left hand. Mr. Bell was excellent and took time to explain the injury to my hand and how to take care of my hand until the time of my appointment to see Dr. Fakhouri. He was kind and put me at ease. I would recommend MidAmerica to all as their care is excellent.
