they're the kindest people to take care of you're furry babies. i've never met anyone with as much compassion as the team there. my mother's been going through a really rough patch (was diagnosed with cancer recently, going in for chemo, etc) and so when her dog got sick she was very very distraught. they genuinely went above and beyond to not only make sure her dog was alright but her as well.

Thank you for all your hard work. Such an amazing emergency room. We have been many times and each time was great.

worst experience I've ever had with a vet, my cat ran and gobbled up an ibuprofen my dad dropped on the floor and she was shitting and puking for days, we took her here on day 2 and they gave us something they told us would help her, 3 days later we took her to her actual vet with the pills they gave us and were informed that she was prescribed the wrong pills which did absolutely nothing to help her and probably only served to upset her stomach more than it already was. don't take your pet here unless you genuinely hate them.

Our dog passed away at home over a weekend. Not knowing what to do, I called and they were so helpful giving me several options. We ended up bringing our dog in for cremation services that they offered. So kind, considerate and respectful to our dog.

Took my 3 year old cat to them for help with giving birth. She had 2 before we took her and didn't know if there was anymore inside. So we took the kittens and the momma to animal emergency of Mokena. They took her in very quickly and took the one alive kitten and one still born kitten into the back. They came out and said " do you want to give it a chance and try and tube feed it or let time take its toll", I said I wanted to tube feed it. About 5 min later that came back out and said "the live one has died" then continued to ask me if I wanted to get a surgery done on her to remove the last two kittens inside her that where "dead" and also spay her at the same time or just take her home with me. I opted to get the surgery done. As I was saying goodbye to my cat, they never showed me the kittens that had came out already or anything. So I said my goodbyes and went home till it was time to pick her up. When I came back to pick her up they were going over the medications they gave her to take home and in the process only mentioned one side effect "heavy breathing" (red flag #1). I got home and did some research on the medications and they were both pain meds. Was a little confused cause why would you give 2 pain meds. I then was looking at the stitchings and stuff on my cat and they looked janky. The next day is when I started to notice the heavy breathing which I began thinking about what causes heavy breathing but then noticed it wasn't normal heavy breathing but didn't think much of it. The 2nd day out I was looking at my cat and realized her paw pads were not the same color anymore they were more white than pink. And she almost looked like she was struggling to breathe. So I called another emergency vet to see what to do and they said bring her in right away. After bringing her in they did tests and everything and while they were waiting for the results my cat lets out this blood wrenching scream one I will never forget. I hit the panic button in the room so they would come, they looked at her and said she's dying and we can do 2 things possibly save her for a week or put her down. I chose to put her down cause it's not fair for her to be in pain. Once they put it into her system she had blood come out her nose and mouth. They read the test results to me and keep in mind going into the surgery she was a healthy cat no problems, they said she had blood in her lungs and a heart issue. This place who supposedly loves animals and treats and cares for them doesn't look to be doing so good right now. They later said that they only gave her fluids for 30-45 min which I paid for her to have it the whole time. They said they checked up on her every hour while fluid was in her. Don't know if that's true. Needless to say don't trust this place with your animals unless you're trying to kill them. This place lies through their teeth like there's no tomorrow about stuff.

It’s 12/18 & 7:15 PM. It’s an emergency vet. EMERGENCY. There’s no one here. One poor guy is frantically staring through the glass with a huge emergency. Our dog is howling in pain from a foot injury. We’re both going elsewhere. This is garbage.

The vet was great as well as the women who talked to us regarding putting our cat down and pricing, however the intake women was an awful person. If a blonde lady is working the from desk and doing intake, take a deep breath and protect your peace. She’s the last person you’d want to be dealing with while your pet is dying. Awful, awful woman, she was extremely rude.

Love this place way better than the one that is by me. . Plus they are very cheap compared to a lot of other places I went to. The Dr vet is fantastic and so is her helper the guy who took care of Dough todayTell them thanks for caring and she din't charge me a lot for the exam. Plus gave me a big discount that I wasn't expectingLord knows I needed it. For the past three days I been going to different emergency rooms and vets and only being charged very high fees and given so many different diagnosisI trust the Vets here. Highly recommend. And Gary Soumar is fantastic! Thanks for sending over the medicine and always responding

Took our dog in to be seen tonight, 10/23. The staff was very kind and compassionate. The doctor was straightforward and thorough. We brought in our baby because she had a pretty bad infection. They cleaned her up and got her started on antibiotics. We had a good experience. The cost was not absurd. Overall, we received amazing care, and stay was very pleasant.

I can't thank them enough. Is there a wait? Yes. But to be able to bring a very sick pet in on a Saturday evening and get friendly, compassionate and professional care means everything. From the front desk to the medical team they were top notch.

Do NOT bring your pet here! They are very unprofessional, talk about clients negatively openly for all to hear in the waiting room as well as their own personal lives. They will inappropriately undergo many tests without telling you costs and $1k later tell you all tests are normal. It is like a scam and they don’t even know what they’re doing. Use your trusted family vet! Do not go here!

Our dog has IBS and colitis. When she has a flair up they have always been there for us.It's comforting to know that they're there.Update..Haven’t been here in about six months.Waited in the car for an hour. While we were waiting I could see through the staff arguing through the window. I called to see how long it would be and they said come in. When we walked in, nobody said hello or anything. The tension was very thick. We were put in a room and the nurse took our dogs temperature. We waited another 35 minutes and decided to leave. When we opened the door to go there wasn’t anyone anywhere. So we just left and went to premiere in Tinley. We are very disappointed in Mokena emergency vet.So they called after we got home and wanted to know what happened. I told them we waited to long. They said oh and hung up. No apology or explanation.Terrible business practice

WARNING ABOUT DR. HARRIS. My 80 y/o mother lives alone an hour away from us. She noticed that her cats had fleas a week ago but had no idea how bad they were. They are indoor cats. When I learned about this, I advised her to immediately get and apply Advantage II, which took a day after ordering. Her other short-haired cat bounced back the very next day. On 7/29/23, my wife and I brought my mom's cat Johnny, who was a long haired cat, to this clinic as an emergency. He was lethargic and had not eaten in a couple of days. The doctor we saw that night was Dr. Harris, who on a side note mentioned he only works ER every 6 weeks. He was wearing a VCA sweater. We told him Johnny had fleas but based upon his behavior, we were concerned he may have had a urinary blockage as he had one 5 years ago, however, he has been on a specialty diet ever since without issue. I explained to Dr. Harris that my wife is a veterinarian technician at another clinic and I have also worked at one so we did not need for him to dumb it down and just get to the point. He seemed to get offended and asked rudely "Do you want me to keep talking or what?" My wife asked him to start with a blood panel. He left the room for 5 minutes. Upon returning, he said "This cat is infested with fleas and is not blocked as he expressed his bladder on the table." He asked..."Do you want to do blood work?" We said "Of course, we already asked for it." The blood panel came back that Johnny was severely anemic from the flea infestation. Dr. Harris advised that when the HCT gets to 15, which Johnny's was 14, cats typically need a blood transfusion, but that they do not offer this service, and we would have to go to another emergency clinic that was 45 min. away. The doctor advised that he felt we could give Johnny another 48 hours to see if the topical medication my mom applied the day before would get the fleas under control. My wife had to ask him to at least give subcutaneous fluids as Johnny did not drink that day and to also give an appetite stimulant, which they did. They offered canned food, but he had no interest. We took Johnny back to my mom's hoping that what this doctor told us was enough to get Johnny over the hump and start to rebound like his housemate did. The next day, we drove back to my mom's and she told us Johnny did not come out his cat carrier all night. We tried using a flea comb and medicated flea wipes to get as many fleas off of him as possible. After a couple of minutes, he started foaming at the mouth and was so weak he fell over with a low moan. With us being in the vet field, we knew he was dying. We rushed him to Premier Emergency in Orland Park. The vets there told us that he was beyond the point of a blood transfusion. We decided it was in his best interest to end his suffering and euthanize him. We should have been told this by Dr. Harris the night before, but no, we were nonchalantly given false hope. The doctor at Premier had difficulty finding a vein as the fleas had sucked him to the point his veins were so thin. The euthanasia was traumatic. The doctor at Premier educated us that even though fleas are in the process of dying after flea treatment, they are still biting and sucking blood. Even with us being in the vet field, we did not know this. Word to the wise, the second you notice your pet has fleas, get them and your house treated immediately. Use a flea preventative all year round! The very next day, Monday, when my wife was at work, an owner came in that was told that same night Dr. Harris saw Johnny, their dog had a cyst on its hip but to give it a few days. After my wife's clinic received the report, the dog actually had a pyometra and needed emergency surgery. The owners ended up going to another ER clinic to save their dog's life. Dr. Harris is giving misinformation and misdiagnosing animals. We paid $500 for absolutely nothing! Insult to injury. In one week's time, who knew fleas could kill an otherwise perfectly healthy cat? A hard life lesson to l

Last night we had to bring in our sweet, old dog and say our goodbyes. The staff was kind and sensitive, presented us with all of our options, and was so gentle with our sweet girl and with us as we coped with some very big emotions. I appreciate the service and the supportive environment during one of the most stressful times in my life. Thank you. RIP Juno, you will be missed and never forgotten.
