Going to the hardware store is usually met by anxiety for a lot of women. It usually means, degraded, dismissed or ignored. I have NEVER felt anything close to this at Hittermans. They are always so helpful, kind and respectful. I LOVE this store and their employees!

This place has a very knowledgeable staff. I can come in, ask a question and get an answer immediately. They have a lot of items too. Great to have in your town rather than drive a distance to get supplies you need for a project.
Metropolis Hometown Hardware is your locally owned hardware store where we try to meet the needs of the community and surrounding area. We sell anything from your basic hardware needs, propane and some lumber. We also offer rental needs such as roto-rooters, tillers and others. If we don't have it, we will try our best to get it for you.
