Took my Jeep Wrangler to them for a new motor..On May 3rd a motor was ordered.Every week I would call asking for updates. Each time they said the motor was on it's way. And would be there in a few days. Each time I asked for a tracking number they would act like they had never heard of such a thing, but say they will find out and give me a call with it. Next week I would call back asking about it only to find out that it hadn't actually shipped. This went on for 4 months when finally a motor came in that Trac said looked defective but the manufacturer told them to put it in anyway. "Oil will make it tighten up". Motor blew on their initial test drive. And another month was spent waiting for another motor to come in. Friday got a call the motor had arrived and Tuesday the jeep will be ready. Today, Friday September 24th I got a call the jeep is ready to pick up. They said they put in a claim for the defective motor and I will get a reimbursement credit from the settlement. I offered to pay half then when the reimbursement came figure out the difference. During which time Troy and I were looking over their workmanship I noticed several parts missing. When I pointed them out to Troy he said they weren't a big deal and I shouldn't worry. Of the parts that were missing, that Troy said weren't a big deal, were two of the three bolts that hold on the steering pump and belt. These two bolts are hard to miss being on the front of the engine visible as soon as you open the hood. I have no faith in the engine, their competency, their drive of customer honesty, or their knowledge of what parts are a big deal. Spare and missing parts on a Ikea is one thing, this is a several thousand pound vehicle. Now in small claims court trying to get my Jeep to another mechanic.Service: Engine repair

I called with a problem on short notice for intermittent scraping noise that sounded like something serious and they let me bring it in right then to diagnose it and found it was just the brake shield and bent it back and NO charge!!! Thank you Trac Automotive!!!

Trac Automotive is the only place in Woodford County that I use for my auto repairs. Troy and Brianna are honest, upfront professionals that are always willing to work with me to make sure the vehicle is repaired and back to 100% when complete. I would trust them with anything from a Ferrari to a Yugo and everything else in between.Services: A/c installation & repair
