05/03/2023 2:30pm What kind of employees does Costco hire? The cash register manager is very arrogant, rude to people who don't know how to use the system, she's from Puerto Rico and racist.

Sometimes I feel guilty for how much I like Costco. This warehouse has everything you are looking for. Great selection of food with fruits and vegetables. Good selection of wine. They have good prices so it is worth stopping in if you need a larger quantity of alcohol. The frozen fruit selection also has a wide verity and I can recommend the frozen berries and cauliflower rice They do have the best prices anywhere on a bunch of stuff, but caveat peremptory: even if 100 rolls of toilet paper is an incredible value how long will you be storing that for? Try the "whole cheese pizza" for $10. It feeds five.

Love the selection. New items come in on a constant basis and their prices can't be beat

The warranty of tires in Costco is a lie, I had to pay $63 to replace a tire. It was 80/100 really new. No buy tires at Costco

I've been a meme bee for approximately ten years l, which means I'm pleased with their selection and prices. I also enjoy the convenience of Costco's other locations. However, the Melrose location is probably the only store that doesn't box your items at checkout, when you ask for a box. It's not like it's beneath me to box my own items, it's just more efficient time box the items as they're being scanned. Maybe if Costco provided a n area to transfer your items into a box, after checkout, then I guess that'll make up for it.

One rude employee who acts kinda like a j*** at Melrose Park Warehouse Store (Op# 74 Name: David G). If he's been that way more than once with me, chances are he's that way with other members...or he's just that way period. Wrong attitude to be working in frontline customer service. If he's on a management track, he could use a refresher in appropriate customer service to paying members. Customers seem to be an inconvenience, perhaps even an annoyance, for David. On a recent visit. David, stationed at checkout, didn't greet me, nor did he ask me to place my few small items on the belt (in recent months they've been scanning from the cart)... No, David didn't say a word to me before gruffly grabbing my few items from the cart and plopping them onto the belt, making an overtly intentional non-verbal statement in doing so. Bad attitude much? The only words David directed to me was the total amount due for payment. Yet he continued chatting with a fellow employee all the while. In the present time of a deadly virus pandemic, with more highly contagious strains popping up all around, the fewer points of contact with people and surfaces the better. They know this, as Costco employees at checkout wear masks and gloves. But the real point is that Costco Members deserve basic courtesy and respect that David G consistently fails to deliver.

The clientele they allow as members is horrible. My husband and I were called racists because we took to long pumping gas (problem with pump and my car). Verbally attacked unprovoked but customer was a young Hispanic idiot disrespecting a white 60 year old husband and wife who never said anything racist.

They have the rudest General managers. Being sarcastic and accusing a customer for not having a membership of Costco. Rude and unprofessional.

Alex in the tire center was amazing! Excellent customer service, had an unexpected flat tire, The tech quoted me 11/2 to two hours to assess it. Alex was really helpful and got it done in 15 at ten dollars. I appreciate his help and cutting the time down. I think the tire center is great. I've been to schaumburg and they were wonderful . Thanks again Alex!!

DO NOT BUY their prime strip steaks!! 100% sinu after looking at other reviews apparently I'm not the only one this has happened to..... I tried 2 different packages over 2 months and 85% of the steaks were riddled with sinu.. On the last package, they placed all the sinu side down so you couldn't see until opened... Frankly a very deceptive practice.

The gal who makes the appointments at the vision center, treats people with no respect. I needed a new frame and eye exam. I purchased a frame in advance of making appointments. The young gentlemen who helped me with my frame was wonderful. He told me he doesn't make the appointments for the exam I needed to speak with gal behind the glass door. When I walked in I could tell she wasn't in mood to deal with me or anyone. I asked for an appointment, she didn't bother to look up, the next available appointment was over two weeks out. I asked her for an appointment card... her reply was.. you'll get an email. I asked if she had a list of people she calls in case of cancellation, she looked up at me like I was an alien and said no. I took my frames and went to another place for exam and lenses. I don't expect people to kiss my a** but at least you as an employee can act like you like your job. I'll never to back there again.
