During my road trip at the end of June, beginning of July last year, I stopped at this roadhouse on my way from Route 66. I didn't eat there, but the atmosphere seemed nice, and there were a lot of souvenirs to buy.

This place was Gross ?.
My moment started at a faulty pump.
Went inside to cancel and redo.
Went to the restroom. Disgusting and unmaintained.
Decided to go to the fountain area before leaving to cancel. My Pepsi soda has an after taste..
Canceled and went across the street. Save yourself the trouble on the road.

Very disappointed in the direction Dixie has taken with showers. A few years ago just showing them your frequent fueler card got you a free shower. Then they began charging $12 per shower. An employee said there was a new manager. Today I paid over $18 for a shower. Same undersized thread bare towel and washcloth, nothing changed but greed. There are top notch truckstops with big showers, 2 big fluffy towels, hand towels, washcloths and hairdryers for less than Dixie.

We stopped for fuel. Cinnamon sugar nut mix was supposed to be hot & fresh!! Terribly distasteful, dried, days old stale candied pecan & candied almond mixed nuts. Disgusting & hard enough to break your teeth.
Wasted $8-They need to not have any license to sell non prepackaged food.

Plenty of parking! Very clean! A great restaurant as well! Great location! But no merchandise from the historical truck stop. Loss of revenue per us truckers and your staff. Your only killing your profits!

Amazing breakfast buffet, one of the few left here for truckers, plenty of selection if you leave here hungry you’re just an idiot. Their food is amazing and the wait staff is amazingly polite.

I recall when this was the Dixie and the service was excellent. Now, it’s a Road Ranger and the service follows suit. I spent $22 at the restaurant (including a $5 tip) and didn’t get so much as a thank you. Then, went into the store and purchased another $12 worth- and, again, no thank you from her either. Both did manage to complain about their personal situations, however, while they were taking my money.I realize that customer service and courtesy are becoming increasingly uncommon, but it is becoming more difficult to spend my hard-earned money supporting ungrateful, discourteous, and many times incompetent staff- particularly at truck stops that are already enjoying incredible markups- due to a captive clientele.Go to McDonalds across the street. There, you already expect poor quality.
