We're thinking of getting one (probably 2, can't leave em without a buddy!) and the girlfriend has never had one so Natalie let us hold em, let em move around, and gave us great insight. If I were to live in the area and think about getting one I would come back there, thanks for the assistance!

3370 Shoppers Dr, McHenryA gentleman working the store today offered to help me with heavy litter and I declined but thanked him. While walking to line a guy (holding no products) cut me off instead of letting me put the heavy litter bag onto the belt. After holding this heavy bag for a while I just put it down while waiting in line because I couldn’t hold it anymore. The staff member who offered to help previously opened his lane and also offered to grab the bag for me!
He should teach the other guy how to be a decent human. Man or woman I would let anyone go ahead of me if they had one heavy order. God forbid you wait an extra couple minutes! Thank you for all your help! Give this man a raise!

3107 West IL-120, McHenryMy dog absolutely loves Camp Bow Wow—so much so that my wife and I have to use the initials “CBW” when talking about it, or he gets way too excited! It’s clear he knows it means playtime, attention, and lots of fun.
The staff is incredibly professional, friendly, and caring. It’s such a relief knowing we’re leaving our pup in good hands. One of the best parts is being able to pick him up after a full day of play, freshly bathed and ready to relax at home.
CBW has become a second home for our dog, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Highly recommend it to any pet parent looking for a place that treats your dog like family!

1112 Front St, McHenryDr. Carlson is hands down the best veterinarian I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve encountered quite a few. Years ago, I saw Dr. Carlson treat my parents dogs and elderly cat into their twilight years and the compassion and love he has for our animal family members is unmatched. We firmly believe his recommendation of acupuncture treatment for their elderly Weimaraner gave her another 2 years of life after we all thought she had lost mobility in her back legs. I went to another vet for a few years (because they were closer to me) until they recommended expensive and side effect-inducing medications for my 15 year old Weimaraner. I had my doubts so I called Riverside for a second opinion. He reviewed her test results, health records, and examined her thoroughly and agreed that she needed none of that. Dr. Carlson put her on a much more gentle holistic regimen that allowed her to live comfortably the rest of her days. And when it was her time to go, at almost 16, he lovingly stroked her and held her paw the whole time while my husband and I said our goodbyes. The compassion is unmatched. Now I take all my pets to Riverside. Thank you to Dr. Carlson and his amazing team for always giving my pets the best treatment possible.

1709 IL-120, McHenryWe had to make the painful decision to euthanize our beloved cat Buddy, a part of our family for 16 years on 8/24/2024. The staff at McHenry Pet Hospital were all great! They made it as comfortable as possible for Buddy and our family. Explained how the process would work, assured us that Buddy would go peacefully and feel no pain. Reassured us that we were making the right decision. Told us to take as much time as we needed with Buddy to say our final goodbyes. That definitely helped, given the situation of having to let Buddy go.? Thank you to the staff that was there that day from the bottom of our ❤️. We recommend anyone who has to have any kind of care for their pet, to take them to McHenry Pet Hospital.

Beyond the amazing food, Stephen created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere—our family got to relax, enjoy each other’s company, and truly be present for the celebration without worrying about a thing.
It felt like a fine-dining experience brought right into our home. Everyone was raving about the evening long after it ended, and my mom said it was one of the best birthdays she’s ever had. We’re already looking for another excuse to book Stephen again. Highly, highly recommend!

I got the the tacobirra and my wife got the 3 taco dinner. Both are delicious, and she was very happy with the massive portions in the tacos. The birra has a wonderful kick and overall we're super happy with out dinners. The horchatas are delicious as well. Would recommend!

4400 W Elm St, McHenryWe usually don't go out to buffets all that often but this place was recommended by my little brother. It is on the corner spot of a small little strip in Mchenry to start. There was quite a bit of folks there so obviously it's a known and respected establishment in town. You walk into a clean establishment and you pay for the amount of people eating. I believe that we paid $28 for the 2 of us before tip which i felt was rather fair for a legitimate all you can eat chinese buffet. After you pay you go find whichever seating you would like/ can find. We chose a booth which was nice as we prefer them because both of our backs are bad so it was nice to sit comfortably. The food is mainly chinese throughout besides the dessert section which had a nice spread. They even had a little bit of pizza and mac and cheese available which is good if you have a younger one with you maybe not willing to take on chinese food just yet. The food was ok. It was not bad by any means, but it also did not check my box for being above average. It just tasted like middle of the road chinese food, which mind you in a buffet setting is totally fine with me especially considering you can just select items you enjoy more than others. They also have to prep and cook large amounts of different items quickly too so i was not necessarily expecting everything to be super tip top tasting. If i had to choose a word for the food it would be serviceable for sure and there was a ton of it! I am rating this spot a 4/5 stars this time around because you have to put everything into perspective. The food itself was not a true 4/5 but you do have to know what you're getting yourself into when you come through the doors. You pay a rather cheap price for a crap ton of food! We left stuffed and had a good time which in my book is what really counts , again considering the price! So all in all if you are in the area, i would totally recommend this to anyone maybe looking to save a few dollars and get a ton of food as well. The staff was nice and even brought our drinks to the table for us which was a nice thing that stood out to me. Definitely a spot that I would come back to for sure and might even bring my little brother along to thank him for the reasonable suggestion!!! Grand Buffet you are alright in my book!!!!

5408, McHenryI rescued my baby girl from here back in 2018 and she's been perfect. Animal Outreach really had the kitten in mind when I was playing with her in the room. They even said she seemed super comfortable with me. I mean, she even fell asleep in my arms and that's when I knew I couldn't put her down. It's been an amazing 2 years with this baby girl and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. She's as healthy as she can be, as she has a heart condition where he heart is abnormally large, but that doesn't stop her from being an absolute nut case. I would 100% adopt from them again.
