Deli is a nightmare and deserves zero stars… something really needs to be done with the speed of the employees. I understand it takes time to slice and dice but 15 to 30 minutes is uncalled for and I’m not just talking about Mondays. Every visit is ridiculously slow. The rest of the store is superb. Job well done!!!

Clean store hard to find help it seems like the younger people were more busy on their phones and chit chatting and wanting to do anything extra

I've started picking my prescriptions up here and it's ok. The one pharmacist I believe her name is Shannon she can be very fast and quick to answer a question or whatever before she really looks. "Slow down". The other I believe is a tech his name is Danny wonderful and pleasant to speak with 100% goes out of his way to help with whatever he can with me. The 1 man pharmacist is rude correct the way I pronounce my names of my prescriptions and I'm like "really so rude". Hopefully it doesn't get worse or I guess I'll move somewhere else.

Nearly $10 for a quarter pound of deli meat? GREED. It's so hard to get ahead these days because companies are more interested in profit, not people. Aldi's it is.

I ran in after work and the Deli line was sooooooo long. One man named Tom, slow as molasses and some older dirty looking woman by the fried chicken. I asked her if she could help...she said 'No, no one showed up and I'm busy'....ok....I do not need deli that bad, plus my fave was the Ham that was sold in a whole big piece called Applewood or Fig...no longer available....the bakery is always raw under cooked breads, kolachy's, etc...a complete waste of money...so I picked up only a few items then checked out....some rude woman asked me to 'lift' up my Jewel paper so she could look underneath to see if there were any other items placed under the paper??? Are you kidding me? Her name was Julie....I just stared at her, picked up my paper, and told her..."I won't be back'....and I will never shop at the store again....apparently she is looking for shoplifters??? She's old...what is she going to do...run after them in the parking lot? How insulting.....and of course, I had to do self check out as there are never enough cashiers...so when I went to bag, there were NO bags...I asked someone at customer service if they could get some bags for me and this is what I was told...."YOU can find some bags in the next aisle' So you want me to get those cheap thin bags Jewel uses???? .........And also check out myself?.......Why are people working at Jewel? They are all old, rude, lazy, and they all have a bad attitude.....Are they just waiting for the pension or what?????????? The entire store needs a better working crew.....

Went shopping for salads, as I only buy what will stay fresh, so the 3 for $3.99 is a bargain and I can eat three of them before they go bad

Will NEVER go to McHenry Jewel again. The cashier and another rude employee argued with me about theprice of chips!!!! I went back and grabbed the sale tag and regular price tag! Finally believed me. Get some customer service skills before working in a grocery store!!!!!

Done with Jewel and the deceptive marketing practices. They advertise 99¢ deals but they are only deals for their coupon club members which is not stated clearly. Never shop here if you value your money. The normal prices here are ridiculous.

I needed Lynn trips for the wash machine and as well. Frosting for sugar cookies that we had just made. I was happy and surprised to find that they did have the frosting. The lint traps were also on sale.

Fresh and seasonal fruit products... if it's about buying to eat, you will find cut meats... seafood, etc.
