They are very unprofessional. You will get forgotten on hold. They will block your phone number as well if they can’t help you. So to anyone planning on banking here plan somewhere else.

I came in to simply cash some change. First question the Indian lady asks me from the teller desk is do you have an appointment? Lady im holding change! then her and the other woman ask me like 5 times if the change is rolled or loose? I said rolled like 5 times! Are you deaf!? Then the woman who dealt with me was rude demanding that I put the rolls on the counter..don't treat me like trash! I have had accounts and also take out small loans with 53 for over 14 years! How dare you! Rude!!!!!!!

Opening a business account with 5/3 couldn't be easier. They were able to pull up all the necessary paper work. All I needed was my ID and EIN number. They did all the legwork and *boom*... Business account open.
I'm very happy working with Dan the business banker and Deen the branch manager. Tay, another banker at this branch was also very helpful in clearing up some issues. Happy to be banking with 5/3 and grateful for your team.

No wonder why this location has 2.8 starts!
I’ve been banking with Fifth third for 9 years and never have had a worst experience. 1st of all I go to the branch and it took 1 hour to do a wire transfer. While the representative was nice still took way too long than what it should. The fee for the service is ridiculous, plus he gave me two options but at the end one of the options wasn’t even an option for me and had to go with the only one I had.. fine … since I stop by after cut off time I needed to wait until next business day(which I get it).
I called today, they never completed the second approval for my wire to go out. I’ve been trying to call and talk to someone and they keep putting me on hold without someone checking back in with me, told me they will call me back well they didn’t. Really poor customer service.

Incompetent, slow, dim witted every time. I will bank at the Island Lake branch. This branch is inferior in their simple tasks at the teller and manager. Corporate should be notified. It's been several years of subpar customer service. I have never complained before about any business or establishment. 0 stars

Tay is a gem! He's super polite, attentive and knows how to follow through with client concerns. This isn't my day-to-day branch, but I'm considering switching if the service can be this good. Somebody buy this guy lunch!!

I scheduled a phone appointment for last night 11/7/23 for 4:30pm. I received a confirmation. I didn’t get a call until this morning and was told they waited for me to come into the branch. No, I had a phone appointment, not a branch visit. I proceeded to conduct my business on the phone , but I didn’t get his name. But, he was rude and sarcastic. I’m an existing customer over 20 yrs. with very substantial accounts. He sarcastically told me he could not honor my request. When I asked to go higher up, I was told “sure I can ask and give you the same answer “. Which he did not attempt to do. Seriously?? No wonder such low reviews. This branch is a black mark against the good name of 5/3.

This is a great bank. The staff is very communicative, friendly and helpful, and their service is top-notch. My banker, Allan Nathan, is a whiz behind his desk. He’s incredibly quick to answer all of my questions, and every time I bring a problem to him, he’s quick to solve it. He knows the ins and outs of all of the products that 5/3 has to offer, and he has helped me with my mobile banking app many times. Most importantly, he educates me on my ways I can better utilize 5/3’s products in order to achieve my financial goals. I have nothing but high praise for Allan Nathan and the rest of the bankers and staff at this branch!

Ive had horrible experiences with every teller at this location. Dan sent me a letter in the mail saying my checking account is "forced to be closed" with no explanation. I called for more information and was told nothing. So I opened another checking account with fifth third thinking itd be fine. NOPE! not even a month later I receive another letter saying my account is going to be closed. So I took all my money out immediately. Chase bank now has my millions. You took a huge loss Dan. Fifth third lost a high valued client because of you. I despise fifth third with a passion and will never step foot in this location or any other again. I will never recommend banking here to any of my peers. It was a horrific experience. Imagine trying to get money out, something small as $100 and being questioned "why are you taking this out?" WHY?! why do you need to know where I spend my money?? Honestly Im just getting worked up writting this review so Im stopping here.

Still haven’t received my debit card 2 months!!My wife went today to open an account 5:15 they made her wait only to tell her she needs an appointment. This bank is a joke!

Nothing against any location but the business it self I'm having issues with.. one don't get the 360 card because it's treated like a fill as u go card and can't pay at pumps have to go in all the gas stations and with my work hours gas stations are open but pay at pumps only, also the way some restaurants do there payment it don't work like olive garden... Wasn't told it was like that, thought it was a temp card till my real one came.... Two made a dispute about payment to someone and never getting merchandise gave them all my conversations tracking number I was given that still till this moment shows that they are waiting to send and this was October 2021 and it's now March 2022 but find them in the right.. Thanks for looking at all the info and take the word of someone who has ripped off many people...

I typically use the Lake Zurich location, but didn't feel like driving that far to close my account. I called the McHenry branch to inquire if there was a personal banker on staff today with it being New Year's Eve. Dan not only answered the phone on the first ring but was very polite and professional. He asked when I wanted to come in and I said I could be there in a half hour. I arrived at 1:30pm and was promptly greeted by a teller who said a banker would be with me momentarily. Dan greeted me immediately and quickly took care of closing out my account. He was kind, funny, and has great customer service skills. I almost regretted closing this 23 year old account just because of Dan's phenomenal service.
