Very clean store and hard working staff who still don't forget to smile. The store layout doesn't change much except for seasonal items and special deals. Friendly and welcoming environment to all. I highly recommend going to this location for the size of inventory.

Really don't know this dollar general been away from mattoon for 18 years but really closed at 800 that's biased . My dg back were I live now the close at 1000

I may be a bit biased but this dollar general is pretty great! It was remodeled late February of 22 and is so much better than before.

As the current store manager, I would like to say this store is 100% different than it used to be. I have been running this location for approximately a year now. I am dedicated to making my customers my top priority. Without the customer...my job simply does not exist. We have been recently remodeled. We have several new core products and phenomenal selections in the cooler and freezer section! We offer a self checkout counter along side our other 2 staffed registers. If you were ever unsatisfied before, I can guarantee you that I will do my very best to make sure you leave with a smile upon your face! Have a great day!

The associates are so friendly and very helpful. Love that they greet me and my husband every time we come in and shop.
