First class business. Jerry and company are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond for their customers. I would give them 10 stars if I were able. I would recommend anyone who has issues or needs service to call Jerry at central Illinois transmissions. They will do a fantastic job.

Best transmission shop I’ve been too. Hands down Jerry is awesome guy! From the start on service till the end, he frequently communicated what was going on, always kept me in the loop and quickly got my car done. I couldn’t thank him enough for everything he did!

If they had 10 I would give the 10… I honestly don't know where to even begin—this place is the definition of showing out. I thought when Jerry was saying everything that he was just trying to sound like he knew what he was doing but in reality this man knows exactly what he’s doing!!! My car had been in another repair facility for a month before it got to this place. And when I kept talking with "Jerry"—that's his name—he reassured me that once I got it there, he would take care of things because it sounded like all I kept getting was the runaround. And honestly, that's how it felt, and I was completely over it! I asked them to please pick up my truck so we could get this thing started, and he sent me proof right away that it was being done. Then the very next day after receiving the car, he called me on my birthday and asked if I wanted some good news. I said, of course! He told me that when it comes down to it, all I need is the copay amount and the tow fee. Like wow, can you imagine? This man had my car for one day and got down to the bottom of it all and had the best possible outcome I could have asked for—a huge blessing! They are willing to work with you and let you have time to come up with the money you need and never once gave me the runaround. He is super nice and knows exactly what he is doing. I'm sure their whole team is good, but I dealt with one person, and that one person did a better job than probably the four or so that did nothing. Central Illinois Transmission is where it's at! The warranty was poor, and nobody around here was willing to work with this warranty company, but he said just get that truck here and let me work my magic. And I couldn't ask for a better job! He had my car for one week, and my truck is completely fixed and ready for pickup—literally, it was one week! I can't express the amount of respect and appreciation I have for this facility. I recommend them to everyone who is in need of car repairs, or dealing with car warranties that are not good and may have the same issue I had. It is the best in the world, if you ask me. I would go to them again and again and refer everyone to please use Central Illinois Transmission! I will forever be grateful.

My van broke down while driving across country. I was really concerned because we were in the middle of nowhere and didn’t know what to do. Going to Jerry was a true blessing. He communicated well giving me his personal contact and did a great job with my vehicle. I’m very happy with his work and his ability to communicate and make the stressful process a lot easier.

Jerry was so kind, honest, and eager to help! He was able to help me out the same day I called. He found a minor issue with my car and helped fix the issue, free of charge!! I definitely will be coming back here if I have any other car troubles. Thank you Jerry!

I physically can’t work on my cars due to disabilities, And lack of knowledge, so it’s important that I get a mechanic that I can trust and only one mechanic. I moved out here about 5 years ago with a bad transmission in my car, and I found Jerry and his crew at Central Illinois Transmission. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!They found me a transmission that wasn’t expensive at all and they got the job done RIGHT, quick and painless. Since then, I’ve came to them with a few more problems with my car, including my wife’s car and Jerry and his crew have NEVER disappointed me. I have trusted no one else with mine or my wife’s vehicles other than Jerry and his crew. They are truly the EXCELLENCE OF EXECUTION !!!

Absolutely the best transmission repair shop in Central Illinois. I wouldn't hesitate recommending CIT in Mattoon, Illinois to anyone. Competitive prices, hands down the best and most experienced in the area. Our latest experience with Jerry and his associates saved us a lot of money and time. Transmissions are way too expensive to just let anyone work on one, especially yours. I totally put all my faith in CIT to get the job done correctly and to give me the best service that money can but.
