Such a cute theater. DO NOT go into this thinking its a top dollar theater because it isn't. But it's go charm! The staff are very friendly. The place is old fashioned but has good sound system and a decent sized screen. It's family ran which is rare, they had custom intro which is also rare because usually if you go to the theater every adds the same. For example AMC... every AMC theater has the same stuff before the movie. Arlee theater is the only one that I've seen that had a custom stuff.

Updated theater that retains the charm of the original building but enhanced tech. Lots of leg room in the seats, modest concession stand, anf super friendly staff. Parking is on the street right on front of the theater. A must see!

With open captions movies every Friday night, $5 for both adults and children, and the concessions are all under $3.50. The picture and sound are amazing in this step back in time building. It is worth the drive to visit this family-owned, family-friendly theater with the communities best interest at heart. Check out their FB page to see what is playing at the Arlee!!

One of the great old theaters kept pristine by the owners with pride! Great prices, both at ticket and refreshment counters. A treat for this visiting movie lover.

Excellent service, comfortable and very pleasing old school small town theater. May bring a sweater or jacket however as it is kept cool in Illinois hot weather. And it's not really cold, I'm naturally cold. Great theater for the entire family

WOW, a great theater with state-of-the art equipment, if you are looking for awesome sound and an amazing picture in an unexpected place this is it. Check their website, it is family owned and maned by volunteers!! Mason City is a small town with a big-time movie house, start with a well lit marquee, you then walk up to an old-time ticket booth where a lady takes your money ($5 per adult) and up a gradual incline to the very reasonably priced snack bar, through the double doors back in time to when buildings had character and then boom you get hit with the sound system that rivals any of the chain theaters. Make the drive you won't be disappointed. It is handicap accessible.

Art deco building and small size make for an inviting and snuggly warm movie experience. Plus you save a small fortune on concessions.

Buy your tickets online, but bring cash for concessions. The old theater is lovely, as are the people

The Arlee Theatre is a great little old time restored movie theatre, I've watched several movies here. The owners have spent a lot of time and money updating the old place however the one flaw that bugs me most is the patch in the middle of the screen, it really dampens your movie watching experience. ?
