“A&B Auto Body is simply the best body shop I have ever dealt with. Honest and very straight forward with the customer and always looking for ways to save the customer money. I just had a tail gate repaired that lost its spring opening device. Called in Wednesday dropped it off on Thursday 8am and it was done by 9am and ended up costing me 1/2 of what I expected due to not needing to replace the entire mechanism. They could have replaced everything taking more labor and more parts but they were respectful and did not elect to do things that were not necessary.”

“We recently had our Honda Odyssey worked on. There was over 200 dents from the March hail damage. I was referred by State Farm as they are State Farm preferred shop. This was my first claim with State Farm, I cannot tell how awful State Farm was through this process, but South Side made it right. They didn’t cut corners and the vehicle looked better than the day we picked it up at the dealership. I have had several poor experiences with other local body shops over the years, I will definitely keep South Side in mind for the future. Thanks South Side!”

I took my Jeep Cherokee in both times after two random (yet honest) people swiped me just months apart. “When we first moved to Belleville, we took our car to this place simply because they were within walking distance. I was fairly bristling with hostility, as my hubby was deployed and it was just me and my daughters and MIL, so I made sure to double check EVERYTHING they told me. They were good humored and patient, showed me everything they were going to do or had done and they did a great job for a good price. To my mortification, due to a mixup on where my hubby's paycheck was deposited, the check bounced. They called us personally instead of shuffling us directly to another business, or sending it back to bounce again, and very kindly allowed us to make up the payment again, using a check again, after we got it taken care of. Since then, we have never had a lick of trouble with these people. They have even given us rides home when it was raining, or really hot and they didn't want to see us walking home when we dropped off the vehicle. They remember our old vehicles, and this last time, when I, for once, called ahead and told them what needed to be done, they went ahead and pre ordered the stuff they'd need, because they remembered what they were dealing with and knew what they'd need (brake work). Because they are a small shop, we sometimes have to pay for the part to be ordered and delivered before they can make a repair, and that's completely understandable. Because they sometimes get overwhelmed they can take a little longer than some larger places, but since we know that we can work around it. They are scrupulously honest, kind, and go the extra mile for their customers. If they cannot do a repair, they tell you up front and are willing to recommend some local shops that can. They're our first choice, every time.”

“Excellent work at a fair price. They are upfront about possible extra repairs that might be needed once they start repairs. They are definitely concerned about the safety of the vehicle. They weren't happy with a used part and asked for an extra day to get a part they felt was safer for the car. They could have easily put the unsafe part on and saved time, but they are honest and care about their customers' safety. Even though the new part cost more, they only charged me the original quote and did a 5-star repair job.”

“I did not want to give this service 1 star until today but today service decided to do it. Few days ago I dropped off my semi truck to alightment and to correct steering wheel correct position , engine check light, and recall. Today I came to pick up, so front desk gave me BILL when I saw they changed my name and my address without ask than he fixed, when I read work jobs step by step look like they done allightment but they didn’t correct steering wheel position well, when I pay cost of repair cashier gave key I go back side of yard and start pre trip inspection I saw everywhere dirty mechanic hands’ dirt, than I check steering wheel didn’t fixed check car walk they lost cat walk mount I bought it cost me over $35 extra, I go and ask front desk they don’t know nothing but they serviced. I am customer this location since 2018 many times try to explain and solve issue with front desk but always promised and didn’t well. I have all labor parts recalls receipts. I try to talk with manager again good excuse try to avoid it. I hope management or owner read my concerns and contact back my review. Also next customer before you drop off please take a picture and video of your truck and pre trip inspection before leave this place might be other mechanics and employee works well but my almost 6,5 years experience with this place happens a lot.
