One of the worse run stores I have ever been in. I was in the store just now but couldn't walk down the main entrance of the store because the pepsi delivery guy was allowed to pile his products as you come the door and block customer access. The manager was in the back if the store talking with other employees while 3 customers waited to be checked out. She had to be told to help out. The manager is always screwing around or complaining about the complaints customer have written in about her instead of taking care of the customer. They are all true from what I see when in the store. Nothing is ever put away. All the prices are wrong, staff are either left alone and only one working register. I never see anyone really working besides the person at the register. When you ask If they have help, they always say there are 4 people here but no one is around or working. I wish I would have know you were at the store today I would have stopped and told you how.poorly this store is ran. If the prices are marked at price on the shelf they should be given that price not changed at the register l.

Ugly service door is locked 15 minutes before 10 pm better need different personal.

Very poor staffing. It’s always dirty. cards all over the place. Employees are not very nice when you ask them to help you out. Look for something. And every time I make a pick up order, they always cancel my order

Poor staffing seems to be the business model. Stock levels can be inconsistent. The store is a cluttered mess. Turnover must be high because there is a new cashier almost every time I visit. There generally seems to only be one person working at a time and the self checkout is perpetually out of order. So when it gets busy, it takes a very long time to check out. People routinely drop their items and leave instead of continuing to wait. All that said, it can be super convenient to grab certain items I'd normally have to leave town for. But it's just not a very well managed store, and it doesn't seem like anyone who would oversee store quality really cares.

I am here now and again my third attempt to shop at this Dollar General... I'm telling who ever pulls up to go to this store to make a complaint!! You'll see my photo attachment that shares how unprofessional this place is!! They write on a piece of paper "Closed due to unforeseen Reasons" this management has made your Dollar General look horrific!! I told another person now here in Marengo IL to complain on Yelp!! We need someone to take over this Store! This is ridiculous!!!

I know it's a dollar general but man this place is dirty. The shelves are usually empty which is strange considering there is usually a giant stock cage in every aisle. Big shout out to the employees who like to smoke weed in the back corner of the store (conveniently right by all the baby stuff)

It's definitely not the cleanest store but it works. Biggest issue is whoever controls the heat needs to turn it on for your customers and employees. This place is a freezer!

What happened? Place was great for a while when it first opened and now it looks like someone dumped everything on the floor and didn't care to clean the place up. Cashier was acting weird and looked like they were on something. Why is their so many items laying all over the floor? The place makes Marengo look even worse. Just mind blowing how bad the place has gotten. Thanks for reading.

Dirty. Employees do not wear masks. Employees not attentive, argue about sale prices. Never have balloons ot helium stocked. Always registerd down always a line. Bought oreos that when I got home already had cookies eaten from it.

The whole store is a mess and the restrooms are disgusting and I mean disgusting. If Inspectors ever come I believethey would fine them or Shut the whole store down and the employees are very lazy there's stuff everywhere
