I had an absolutely terrible experience at this Berkots location! I purchased some sushi for lunch, and ended up getting very sick. I found multiple pieces of hair in my food! This place is ran by inconsiderate a-holes!

Nice fresh vegetables, etc. Very tasty tacos for a great lunch. Easy parking. Available restrooms close by ... lacking cashiers today and often, only counter open today was Customer Service counter. 6 people in line, one cashier. Customers were complaining. I saw 2 employees roaming in the aisles, appearing to be not very busy. Maybe management should think about 'cross training'... ha, ha. Convenient but not an enjoyable shopping experience...

Dirty store lot of dirt and dust and produce Is never fresh or good place has no Handicap remote carts outside by the parking spots there they should make one. And more cashiers overall 1/10 for my experience and high prices too coming from a 25 year customer.

We won't even bother to grocery shop here anymore. If we need anything we just go to Jewel in New Lenox or Mariano's in Frankfort. Produce from the store is sure to be rotting on the shelves. If it's not already rotted in the store, it's sure to do so within hours of getting it home. The meat selection is very poor. We've walked in countless times to find absolutely zero steaks or normal cuts of meat. The overall selection of items is poor and the items are always past their prime (cue the moldy carrot cake we bought for Easter Sunday - Thanks Berkots!) The store itself is filthy. The staff is careless and there's never enough checkout lanes open. Don't bother asking for help finding something - the apathetic worker will likely shrug and tell you they don't know. Save your sanity, drive the extra five minutes somewhere else. We can only hope that Manhattan will some day get a grocery store that cares about the community and actually provides good options to residents.

Beautiful new store. The workers are very nice and they have a lot of great products for great prices. Love Dollar General for savings on household items and pet products. Highly recommend.
