“Very helpful and attentive with decent prices. The manager, Theresa, is hilarious and runs the store efficiently. Very clean and fairly easy to find whatever you might be looking for.”

“Clean, not overly busy. Good fresh selection of fruits and veggies at a reasonable price. Don't miss the random items they have! You can get clothes, shoes, random household goods, plants and more at a really good price! It seems like merchandise for those areas change often so anytime you go it will probably be different.”

“This is a great store with serious variety and selection or almost everything you need in liquor and groceries. If they don't have it you don't need it !”

“The employees are very friendly. They always go out of their way to help if needed. The building is very clean and organized; not cluttered and in disarray. Highly recommended.”

“Employees could be a bit friendlier. They will stare at you while your waiting fie them to help, and act like you are the biggest inconvenience to ever have walked in the door. Also, they talk badly about eachother to customers. I now know that one of them apperently steals cigarettes ?‍♀️ maybe leave all that stuff to the break room.”

“I asked 2 different times where the sugar and peanut butter was, and they were very nice... Also, the store was clean, and you didn't need a quarter for the cart. Prices were just a little higher than the save-a-lot in Forsyth though..”

“I shop regularly at Dollar General except at the Frist Drive location in Decatur Illinois. The store is beyond dirty. The windows and floors are covered in dirt. There is no hand sanitizer or anyone helping with cart wipe down. Do the store a favor and bring in professional cleaners. Your sales will increase.”

“They carry most of the items I need on a day to day basis as well as some items for my home I really like. Occasionally I have had to wait for the lady to come back to the register, they don't have enough employees to keep someone at the register at all times and more than once I have had to look around when I am ready to pay and wait. Good selection of discount items, many for $1”

“The South shores Kroger in Decatur gets a lot of negativity. It is small and the stock selection is small. You cannot count on them having what you need. However, this does not apply to the deli! I have rarely experienced any lack of a deli item I needed. The deli folks are friendly, personable, and helpful. Don't hesitate to stop at this deli when you need to grab something for a picnic, dinner or just a craving. I am hopeful they will increase the store size or build a larger store in the area.”

“This is by far the best dollar general to go to out of all 47 in the Decatur/Mt.Zion area. The staff are very friendly and helpful ( Heather, Sara, and Lee to be specific ?? )”

“They have great produce that even looks fresh, some bigger named stores don't . They sell both name brand and generics and you can save money. I go across town to the one by Staley's at five point because I like how friendly and helpful the staff are . Try them if you haven't.”

“I normally don’t have any problems with Kroger.. sometimes the customer service is lacking, but I generally don’t need assistance when shopping so it doesn’t really affect me.”

“I'll go miles out of my way to shop this particular store over the others, because both the employees, and the managers have always been extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. I often see the manager on the floor right along with his employees, working hard. I typically find everything I'm looking for, and the ladies in the deli are super hard working and kind. I'll be honest, I'm not as fond of the fuel center, for the fact that I once had an employee LOUDLY say "Excuse me?!!!" over the intercom, in response to a comment I made about her attitude when I asked her about fuel points, which was totally uncalled for, because SHE came at me with the attitude, so I simply volleyed it back, and not even aggressively. But that's a different area. The grocery store itself is great.”

“Employees were so helpful my entire time shopping to help me find what I was looking for, and the check-out lady was very curious to know if I found everything okay? I said yes. Then she politely said hello & have a great day.”

“In my opinion, Kroger is the best place to shop for groceries. Lots of sales, coupons, & even a freebie now & then. You get points for shopping there, which turn into money off your gas expenses (up to a dollar off each gallon). They've been super helpful with prices in this recession/inflation. Most employees are excellent, and they will always make it right!”
