1023 S Halsted St, Chicago Heights“This is the best Italian Deli market I've ever been in. You can get fresh frozen bread dough, fresh ravioli, amazing cheeses and cured meats. The staff are very friendly and make it a point to know their customers. I stop by everytime I'm in town.My favorite is their Italian sausage, it's a hit at any cookout ? make sure you get a Guido sandwich fresh from the Deli counter to eat on your way home ?”
8:30AM - 6PM
745 Burnham Ave, Calumet City“This place is a secret don't tell anybody, their prices on meat are about half of what your local chain store charges. They have The best homemade Polish sausage in the 5 state area. And Lots of other fresh butcher meats every day, The old-timers in the neighborhood know, you kids stay away.”
“I've been going to Welch's since I was a kid. Amazing brats, the best steak kabobs, dragobobs pork, and awesome stuffed mushrooms. There is something for everyone. Better prices compared to another meat shop in the area. I can't recommend Welch's enough!”
“This is hands-down the bus European market that I’ve been to in this area. I have been to a lot, even in Schaumburg Illinois. The prices here are fantastic. They had so many different types of tea, and even supplements / herbal extracts! I actually found some bee propolis, and the price was fantastic. Was not expecting to find that there. Took my dad with and he found many different cookies that appealed to him. If you’re looking for a gift for somebody I highly recommend coming here. They did have a small selection of wine, frozen section, and lots of different pickled vegetables! Go check it out”

My dad got a meat plate and tried the chicken Kiev - phenomenal.
He also tried the Salisbury steak and he can’t wait to have another.
Not only is the food yummy but every worker we came in contact with , had a smile and such a great positive attitude. 10/10.”

3602 Ridge Rd, Lansing“I love shopping here. There is a large variety of fruits and vegetables. Meat is reasonably priced. You need to bring a quarter to rent a cart and bring your own bags”
9AM - 8PM
1051 E 162nd St, South Holland“Still the best deal in town. Unlike Stracks et al, they don't price gouge. They also don't try to pawn off the "half loaf" of bread for the price of a full loaf. Keep up the good work ? ? ?”

4415 Calumet Ave, Hammond“Turns out when you are a grocery store and just focus on selling groceries as simply and quickly as possible, you end up being a great grocery store.
Don't forget to bring a quarter.”
“Nice little grocery store that happens to sell some good Mexican food. Got 6 tacos 5steak 1 lengua $16 really good flavor. Prices on the groceries were okay they make home made bolillos and tamales. They had fresh masa which is cool because is not easy to find at times. Will come again”
“Best dentist ever! Did a lot of work done on my teeth and did an awesome job every time without being in pain! His work is perfect and painless! He has patience and perfection!”

7925 Indianapolis Blvd, Hammond“The staff is very helpful, I was there 2 weeks ago, forgot my bulky Tissue purchase, went back after 1 week and the cashier remembered me and without hesitation they gave me back my money.”
8AM - 9PM
3315 Ridge Rd, Lansing“I just left the store. The people were very friendly and helped me a lot. Three different people helped me in total. The store and vegetables were very clean, pretty, and organized. There is a great variety here. It's bigger inside than outside. My Spanish is not very good but, yes, I like it a lot. The only thing is I would like to see more light. It's a little dark.”
9AM - 8PM
527 W 14th St, Chicago Heights“Good selection of fresh produce, meats, organic grocery items, and healthy options overall. There is a section with items that are "here today, gone tomorrow" that I feel always has some items worth checking out, whether seasonal or going out of stock.
I usually bring my reusable bag and put my items in there, but if I forget it I can usually find an empty box on the shelf or in one of their carts that I can use to put my items in to save on plastic waste and buying a bag from them. Super convenient and great for the environment.
Good selection of meats and fruit, especially if you want something locally grow. Prices fluctuate but they seem reasonable to me in comparison for the quality of items you're getting.
I will say the self checkouts rolling out at many of the Aldi's are game changers. Otherwise, the lines can get pretty ridiculous and, besides holidays, I don't think I've ever seen more than two lanes open at a time at ANY Aldi from Illinois to Indiana. Other than that, I love going to Aldi for the prices, quality of ingredients, and the "here today, gone tomorrow" section!!!
P.S. there is a section in most Aldi locations with items from gardening to shoes to blankets to coloring books. Great finds in there too!!!”
“Love the selection and price of Gordon's. Like the fact that you can purchase individual creamers for coffee and normal sized bags of snacks. I get a kick out of the fact their house brand is named Brickman.”

9921 Earl Dr, St John“St Patrick's Day.
Went to Aldi and they were out of corned beef. The lady cashier who appeared to be a manager called to check if they had any in the back. I was told they were out of them. Packed up and was loading my car when she came out to the parking lot to tell me they had so more. Great customer service!!! Also that same trip I had forgotten Milk. A customer next to me offered me her milk. What a great experience at Aldi...great people”

14928 Dixie Hwy, Harvey“I've literally been coming for years and just want to let u know your tacos and tortas are always amazing!! Your avocado salsa has stolen my heart. I moved out the area and I drove an hour for this and u did not disappoint!!! Love this spot such a hidden GEM ? The tacos were stuffed and made with love for sure ?”
“The store was remodeled and looked much better. I no longer live in the area and have been gone for years now. I was impressed compared to the way the store used to look. The only thing I had an issue with was the cashier. I feel she needs to work on her customer service skills. Otherwise I would still recommend this place and I will come back if I'm in the area.”
“I’ve never stepped foot into a Gordon Food Store. It was nice! It reminds me of a smaller version of Sam’s Club. The employees were very nice and helpful. If I lived around this store, I would shop here constantly. Awesome Job! Keep up the great work!”
“Don Mike is always very kind and helpful, he takes pride in everything he does. Always wants his customers to leave happy and with the freshest food! Last time I sent my fiancé to get some guacamole for some tacos and he came home so excited to have it as an appetizer because he said Don Mike made it from scratch right in front of him! A must try! The meat is always fresh here and I love that he even carries Mexican clay kitchenware and other authentic Mexican items that you normally can’t find in regular stores.”
“Very tasty baklavas and different butter cookies so crunchy ! Will go buy the chicken pie spinach pie and falafel bread next time. Offers a different variety of food to shop”
8AM - 9PM
3446 169th St, Hammond“My favorite store in Hammond. Most things are reasonably inexpensive. Always very clean. Cashier are very quite. They are not very engaging and honestly most of them seem very bored. The butcher are really nice tho and always speak and willing to help find things”
8:30AM - 8PM
6518 Columbia Ave, Hammond“Aldi is the best. I do about eighty percent of my shopping here. The best value by far, kicks the pants off of Walmart for value. I average about sixty five dollars a week here for a family of three. They don't always have the best produce but it's generally good. Really good value on dark chocolate, lunch meat, cheese, yogurt, and most staple items. They don't have all the brand names but we've found plenty of things that are just as good if not better. It's always quick to check out. Bring a quarter if you need a cart, and bring your own bags if you have them because they charge for them.”
“Very great customer service! If you go there you’re more likely to feel like family.. The six piece chicken Tenders with fries with the house sauce is very recommended! They also have the bomb on tacos And deep fried Polishes. They sell hair products and everything..! It’s a yes for me”
“Yea I like this store their friendly always smiling n joking. When it’s toco night and I forgot something at the grocery store I just take a small trip to grad what I need”
“I really only went there for the carnitas. It's the only thing I can give an honest review about and they were great! I did show up very early on Sunday (which we all know is the best time) and got a fresh batch. If you know carnitas you know it's on you if you wait too long! If you go there you better try to beat me to the line!”
8AM - 8PM
795 Deer Creek Dr, Schererville“Happened to be visiting someone in Crown Point. This was the closest Aldi to Crown Point on our way back to Chicago. The Spring 2024 apparel line had dropped earlier in the week and I was concerned that all the merchandise would be gone in the city. Begged my husband to give me 5 minutes at this location. He was amazed at all the crap I came out with and slightly disgusted. Lol. Anyhoo Aldi makes my grocery shopping so easy so...I wanna rep them for jokes. Aldi haul included: hat, two tumblers (love them), joggers, windbreaker, socks, key chain (holds a quarter for carts) and fanny pack. Oh plus I got my dog a Aldi hoodie. Only spent $65 bucks. Not bad at all. I regret not getting the Aldi shoes Anyway this store was super clean, plenty of parking. They had self check-out and regular checkout. Additionally plenty of boxes available to put your items in. Staff was friendly and the locals were slightly tickled by all the Aldi crap that I swooped up.”
8:30AM - 8PM
18901 S Halsted St, Glenwood“Love this store, I love the remodel and the affordable groceries for my family! My only wish is that they had more diapers available, they are the best diapers, and they are always out, bc of the great price.”
“Under new management and the difference is amazing. Neat and clean, no boxes in the aisles, and opens on time. Special shout out to Reginald for being so pleasant and helpful. Definitely my go to dollar store from now on.”
