I had placed an order online and picked it up at this Long Grove location. When I went to return it to a different Menards (Mt Prospect) because I was in that area, the manager, Jerry, refused to take my items back. I called Long Grove, spoke with Stacy, she went out of her way to follow up, call me back, and accept my return. Terrific customer service, Stacy! Thank you. I'll never shop Menards Mount Prospect again.

FINALLY. Menards is accepting contactless payments. I’m not sure what took them so long (they’ve been around for 9 years – appearing in 2014) but I’m glad they are now providing their customers with this more secure way of making a purchase. [it doesn’t provide account information in the transaction]. Thank you, Menards.

It a convenient place to get the hardware and appliances i need for my home as well as carpet the store was clean and the employees were normal people. Unsure of the spin gate thing at the front but i think it is for anti theft but all around good store

It is too bad that you can not give zero's for the experience, which is what my 90 year old mom and I experienced last night in the Long Grove store. I had done my homework, knew exactly what type of laminate flooring my mom wanted (as we had been there a week before). When we arrived at the flooring dept last night no sales associate was there, we waited about 10 minutes, but with my mom's age, it was growing increasingly hard for her to continue to stand. Went to the paint dept, where there were 2 associates standing talking. They said Pablo would help us but he was busy cutting blinds. Waited another 10 minutes, and one sales associate came buy and asked if he could help, I said we wanted to order floor, he said someone would be over to help, and then asked if he could help my mom, and I said no we are together he said "that is too bad" and laughed, have no idea what that meant. Finally after about 20 minutes comes Pablo, and while very nice, we proceeded with the order and I said for all of the trouble with this, maybe he could do something about the delivery fee to accommodate us (as by now my mother is almost sitting on the floor), he said it's a $100 and he would need to call a manager, so over comes Christian who was of no help, and clearly had no idea why a customer would bother to come in a store and purchase anything. So all the way on the other side of the store we had to walk to complete the transaction. I left my mother sitting on a mattress as she could no longer walk. In the delivery dept was probably one of the rudest "kids" I have encountered, Andrew. We were setting up the delivery, and he said it was $121.50, I told him "no, both Pablo and Christian said $100", he told me we had to pay for the gas! needless to say, we walked out. I hope this review finds it's way to any customer who still believes brick and mortar are a viable way of doing business.

I’ve purchased a hose sprayer two days ago and it broke. I brought it back to Menards and they were telling me that they were unable to return it. That’s our only option was to give me a store credit or exchange it. But I did not want to exchange it because I did not like one of the settings on it, and I did not want to store credit with how expensive it was, and they were telling me in order to do a return that they would need my receipt or the card that I paid with but the problem is I did not have my card with me because it was the Menards card and I just got approved for the card and they were telling me that they were unable to look it up when I purchased the item they were able to look at my card so if they were able to look up the card when I purchased it, they’re able to look it up for a return.

We went for Sump pump motor and pit. Beth helped in clearly explaining lot of things about the sump pit and drains. Would visit this store again owing to thei wide range of collection.

The return of an appliance purchased online went as poorly as possible. Menard's doesn't have a procedure in place for this. All the employees I spoke with agreed that this needs to be improved. BEWARE

Poor customer experiences with the paint department. Some employees are annoyed and irritated to be asked for assistance. Sorry to inconvenience the old woman working in the department on July 18th. Due to the rudeness experienced today, I will never buy paints or stains from here again.

No help whatsoever on a Saturday afternoon, especially in gardening. Guy was helping some lady for half hour for a water spray-had nothing else to do apparently. Went inside to find someone and he was also clueless. Not a good experience for sure.

I was looking for a particular plant and couldn’t find it anywhere. Judy was busy unloading plants that had just come in. She took the time to help me find a flat of the plant, which turned out to be on very top of the rack she was unloading about 15 feet up. She got a ladder and brought the flat down for me! Fantastic customer service!!

Store is kept clean which I like. Excellent selection of bird products. Good selection of plants at reasonable prices.
