Organized and clean. Staff is nice and prices are reasonable. The only issue I had was that the pink and “purple” tags look too similar in Color. Kind of hard to tell the difference especially if there’s a sale going on for either Color. I overheard another lady having the same issue at checkout.

Everyone here is so so soooo nice and will welcome you as you come in. It feels cozy and has a lot of wonderful items. They have a separate room for antique items which I found really cool! I got my two living room lamps here for only $6 each so I was super excited when I got them!! I wish the clothing sections had more bigger sizes but other than that I absolutely love this little resale shop. My boyfriend and I regularly visit to see what new things they have. :) I can't recommend this place more.

I’ve been going to this place for almost 3 years and it is my favorite thrift store ever. Claudia, the woman at the jewelry counter, is extremely nice, helpful, and fun to chat with. I will always be telling people about this place and coming back.

I am tempted to not leave a review to save my favorite thrift store from the gazillions of influencers out there… but alas here I am. This place is a GEM. I award all points to the organization of the store- there’s an antique room, Christmas/holiday room and a beautiful display of jewelry (with a woman parked right there to show you anything you want to see!) There’s a nice mixture of new and gently used things. I’ve never walked in and NOT been greeted and alerted to the chalkboard showing all the deals for today. Truly a gem! Thanks for being here Purple Manatee!

This is by far my favorite resale shop I've ever been to. Their prices are better than most other resale and thrift stores. Every time I visit Purple Manatee, I am greeted with kindness and respect. The staff are extremely helpful and will let you know of any discounts going on for the day, and typically, they have it posted on a board up near the entrance as well. New donations come in every day, so there's always something new to find with every visit. Things seem to get changed around alot to accommodate for new stuff being brought in, which is understandable given their limited space. I like to look at it as a sort of exploration adventure. Things are typically put in designated sections though (pets, tools, electronics, books, etc). In my opinion, they do a pretty good job with organization. They also support the community in various ways, which is a plus. I love this store, and they will continue to have me as a customer for as long as they are in business.

I've always had a great experience at Purple Manatee! The staff are always customer-focused! And, Claudia, I've adopted her as my personal shopper. She knows my style and provides the best recommendations. I've never come out empty handed because the store always has a great selection of clothes, shoes, jewelry, novelty items, etc. Also, the prices are amazing, too!

I had a good experience at Purple Manatee. Great prices, not a waste of time. Store was organized, different than I’ve seen before, but I could follow. All the workers were friendly and helpful!

Store is great, kids who work there are nice, there’s something for everyone, but prices are higher than other places. I can’t help but wonder with all the free stuff these resale shops get, why the prices are so high. It’s not like their cost of goods went up. Their inventory doesn’t cost them anything at all.

I gave this store 4 stars only because I think it could be organized differently. It was a bit confusing on where different clothing items were as they had women's in three different areas as well as a few others like men's clothing. I think other than the organization of the store I believe it was a nice resale store. It provided many categories for shopping. The prices are very good compared to other resale shops I have been to. The employees were welcoming and friendly. If in Lombard I would definitely stop in again to shop. I did not buy anything this time but I was just out looking the day I stopped in. I did however find some very cute shoes and a few other items I did consider buying.

I am a long time thrifter for so many reasons, but this place hits the "sweet spot" on all of them...great staff, great prices, very clean and easy to find what you are (or are not) looking for quickly. Hello weekly visits!

Some times you venture into a place that blows the competition out of the water, the Purple Manatee is one of those places. I have been here a couple of times with my kids and we will continue to come back. The staff is very polite and the owners are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and strive to run a great business. There is large parking lot and you don't have to worry about hunting for a spot. The store has a very boutique type feel and doesn't feel like a basic resale shop. The selection is very large and constantly changing. My daughter likes to call it "retro treasure hunting" and I completely agree. My son has some sensory issues and neurological diversities and the store is beyond accommodating and kind to him. You'd be shocked how many places aren't kind in certain ways.Do yourself a favor, get a coffee, give yourself a couple hours, and go wander around the Purple Manatee. You will leave happier than when you got there and it won't break the bank. This store is a hidden gem and an asset to the Lombard Community.
