They took me in off the streets. I tried to get into 4 other salons and there was no waiting here. The owner took care of me and it has now been over 4 weeks and the compliments are still pouring in. She listened to me and gave me a cut and style I can mantain. That alone is huge! She charges the going rate for an excellent cut and frankly I have gotten my money's worth in confidence alone. I can't let Laura, my stylist and the owner of LA Salon Options, go unmentioned among these three glowing reviews. I have been a client of Laura's for over 20 years when she was just starting out and followed her to her new shop when she relocated to Lombard. Laura showed her entrepreneurial spirit by striking out on her own and opening a fashionable but warm and friendly shop of her own, where the conversation is always lively. Laura is a talented stylist but also has a very good instinct about what makes the client look most attractive. Even as an older woman I get so many compliments on my highlights and haircut after I have been to the salon. Laura has built up a loyal and devoted clientele over the years. Not only does she make all of us look beautiful on the outside, she lifts our spirits as well. Laura is a people person and takes a personal interest in her clients wanting to hear about their families, their vacations, etc. And she shares herself and her many interests, especially gardening and decorating. I have valued Laura's talents all these years as well our relationship and encourage anyone who is looking for a warm, friendly and expert stylist to give Laura a call. You too can be stopped on the street by strangers complimenting your haircut and style! Happy Birthday, Laura

I won't be coming here again. I went once and got my color done. Looked great. No complaints. Came back a second time. This time I told the stylist I wanted to go back to blonde. As soon as I said it I could tell she was annoyed. She told me I wasn't a blonde and that I did NOT want my natural color. (Check my license, it says I'm blonde) She made me feel as if I was such a nuisance for asking for something a bit more difficult. My hair was colored red so I knew I wasn't asking for an easy task but hey, I'm the client. I sat in the shampoo chair while she whispered with the owner in the utility closet, occasionally peaking out to look at me. I felt so uncomfortable and the entire staff kept telling me not to change my color. But, I wanted blonde. So she bleaches my hair. Then says she's going to do it again. Fine by me, she's the expert. Then she adds color, then adds even more color. Once again, fine. The color turns out fairly nicely. Not really blonde but I figured I couldn't be too picky since it was so red before. I go to check out and she tells me the total is $220. My jaw drops and then she informs me that each time she bleached my hair was $60, then 50 for color, then another 25 for the extra color, then another 25 for the cut. This would have been fine had she told me that each time she applied something it was going to cost me that much. She brought it down to $160 and I could tell she was annoyed with me. All in all my hair turned out decent... but the staff was very rude. I felt so unwanted and really, you're supposed to feel pampered when you get your hair done.

This is the only salon I have found that I love so much that I continually go back again and again! Usually, I am the rare type of girl who hates to get her hair cut-- however, LA Salon Options is always super accommodating, quick, and wonderful! I love the Moroccan Oil they use on my hair, too ;) I have been many times and have requested Gina each time. It's a wonderful salon!

After two very disappointing attempts at getting my hair cut today, my mother suggested this salon since it is near another business she frequents. I walked in at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon without an appointment and either they are always accomodating or I looked desperate because the two stylists who were there told me that one or the other of them would be able to take care of me at 4:30. I returned at 4:15 bcause I wanted to look through their magazines so that I could give the stylist some idea of what I wanted. "Little Laura" took me on time, asked some questions and after my shampoo set to work like Edward Scizzorhands! While she cut she described my hair type to a T and explained how the cut she was giving me would solve my issues. I have thick hair with enough body to make it look untidy, but not enough to make it look curly. She cut in texture and took the weight out in all the right places. She gave me great advice about styling it at home and recommended a product that makes my hair shine and stay where I want it. This is the best cut I've had in a long time and I will be going back!

Salon appearance is o.k. inside, clean. But owner, Laura, is extremely rude and loud. She talks, wait she doesn't talk, she yells when she talks and if you are trying to talk to your stylists, you can't. Everything is about her and her "stories". It is really annoying when you go to get your hair done away from noise and craziness and someone is talking and talking and talking and does not stop. Please. Also, anytime I went to the salon and walked in the door, she NEVER said hello. If this is not enough for you to NOT visit or go to this salon, I don't know what is.

So I've always wanted to cut my hair short. Not like a bob, but something cute that can be straight or curly. My hair is really thick and not super curly, but curly enough. And if you have hair like mine, you know its hard to get a cut you love. Everytime I have been here, and I have been going here for years since my mom and grandma both go here, too (If they see this they will know who wrote this just by saying that). And I always get really good cuts and colors, but this last time it was AMAZING.... I went in about a month ago after thinking finally "Okay...I'm going to do it...I'm cutting my hair SHORT". I was really nervous and scared, and I got little Laura (as opposed to the owner Laura). Little Laura has been there forever but I think has just recently started actually cutting hair, and I was a little scared because she's never done my hair before nor have I talked to anyone who has. But, she did an AMAZING job. It is the best haircut I have EVER had in my ENTIRE life. I was so happy when I left she probably thought I was crazy. AND she stood for an hour and just thinned and thinned and thinned my hair and textured it and thinned and thinned it some more. She knew (and I knew) that a cute like this would never work with thick hair like mine if she had just left it. Now it is SOOO easy to manage. If I want it straight, I just blowdry it and straighten and it takes about 10 minutes, if I want it curly, it looks GREAT curly or wavy and all I have to do is NOTHING. It just dries cute and I've never had that before. But a month later it is getting a little long and I will need to make an appointment next weekend!
