Completely unreasonable prices, especially for a 2nd hand store. Never again

It's a good place for donating items I no longer use. It's located on the far left for donations. Service was quick and efficient. Employee was pleasant. If you wanted to go shopping, their parking lot is adequate. I can't comment on the shopping experience since I don't buy items here.

Stellar staff and unusually well organized housewares department. The clothing is pretty much organized as well. By "stellar staff" I mean both silently efficient (constantly moving things back into place) and situationally aware (eyes on potential fist fights that might arise when two people put their hands on the same car tree simultaneously.) 10/10

Found a pan with no price tag on bottom. Found a clerk to ask what the price was. He took the pan into the back and brought it back to me with a sticker on bottom of 2.99. Waited in a long line for the the one cashier and she said the pan was 3.99 and she would have to get her manager Jessica to auth price reduction of 2.99. I am just puzzled and confused and said ok. Manager Jessica came and I explained that it did not have a price on it initially and sales clerk put one on the pan. She asked me to describe the sales clerk. Very strange request for a pan. I did. She then took pan and went to the back and came back and said the pan was 12.99! I am not making this up! Poor manager questionable customer service skills . I Didn't argue with her. Just left the pan there. I thought I did the right thing by asking a clerk the price before I stood in a long line, then detained and questioned about what the sales clerk look like, then to top it off she was not flexible and made me feel as though I did something wrong.

I made a donation one Monday afternoon, after spending the day cleaning out my son's bedroom and closet. (He is away at college and we need the room from my Mom.) I texted him when I was done and we laughed about the accumulation of "things." He asked me if I had saved his mini Coca-Cola fridge and I said "no, some young boy will now have a cute little fridge for his room." He asked if I checked the fridge before I donated it. I said no. Total silence. Turns out, his girlfriend's engagement ring was hidden inside for safekeeping. You could imagine my horror. The next morning, I was the first customer in the door and was assisted by the manager, Debbie. She said she had to wait for another person to come in to look through the video feeds, so I gave her my cell number and went back to work. I had little hope the ring would be recovered. Debbie called me about an hour later and ask for the color and model of my car. She then called back about 30 minutes later and was elated to tell me they had found the "package." There were several people involved in this search and they all went out of their way to find the ring. I can't say enough about the wonderful people who rescued me from the mess I created. Thank you very much!

F Goodwill. They won't allow exchanges on clothing anymore and there was no warning except the small print on the receipt. So as a 20 year customer who RARELY, if ever, had to exchange something, they lost a customer forever!! They didn't have an available fitting room to try it on, so when I came back this morning, I gave them the 2 items out of the $60 I purchased yesterday and the blue bag with the receipts! They obviously don't need me anymore so I don't need them. Buhbye

What has happened to this store? It's a hot mess! Clothes used to be sized and colorized, shelves were organized, but now it looks like the world's worst garage sale. I see the long time staff members literally running around to keep things in order but the new associates wander around aimlessly and couldn't care less about working. So very sad.

I have found some things here that were good deals but more times than not I am shaking my head at the quality that the managers are allowing to get to the floor. Shirts with huge holes, stains, pilling you name it. It just makes me not want to visit in the future.

You pull up your car and there are people ready to take your donations; easy to do. Their selection of men's clothes is as good as any resale shop I've seen.

Doing some spring cleaning I put together quite a few bags of children's clothes, toys, and the like. I also had a twin bed we were no longer using that I tried to make an easy buck on some market places but just didn't have any luck. Tired of seeing all these bags and this bed my kids and I decided to do the right thing and take these items to Good Will. I am a little regretful. Our first trip, yes we needed two trips, was very pleasurable. I didn't get the gentlemen's name but he had to be at least 6'9" and can easily be identified by the store. Thank you! But my second trip was an experience I will not forget. I will drive to the opposite side of Illinois before I visit this location that is right down the street from where we live. I loaded this twin bed in my vehicle then remembered they have some rules about beds and bed related items. I called and spoke with someone explaining all I have is a wooden bed frame. He said that was acceptable. So again, instead of throwing this item along with the garbage bags full of clothes and other items, I thought I was doing the right thing. I get there and wait my turn in line. There are some "bins" customers are supposed to but their items in that are already pretty full. I start unloading these garbages bags full of items and I get yelled at by this attendant (much much shorter than the first). I was setting the bags next to my person. Maybe they are not supposed to touch the ground, I would not know because this attendant didn't take time to talk just yell at me to put them in the already full bins. I apologized and explained that I was just unloading some bags and that I had a few. While correcting my behavior of setting bags on the ground I tried to put the bags into these bins but this attendant decided to play musical bins and constantly move the bins as I was trying to put bags into them. Like directed. No help what so ever (or offer, I would have declined, I am capable of unloading the items I loaded). So I unload the wooden twin bed frame, four pieces. This short (for lack of a better word, don't want to name any names) comes out and starts yelling at me that they do not accept that. I explained that I called ahead and was told I could drop this off. He said who did you talk to? I told him someone from the store. He said I can't leave that there. I said I was told I could and that I wanted a receipt for my items. His words, "I don't got a receipt for you" and walked into the store. Respecting the stores boundaries despite no signage I could not enter I waited outside and he called for a manager, supervision, or some other employee. They walked out and he pushed a receipt into my hand while coming very close to my person trying to instigate a reaction from me. I tried to have a discussion about this receipt as this is my second trip that day and I got a lot of attitude from both employees saying "that is all that they provide, nothing else." I reached into my pocket and pulled out the other receipt I received. "Oh" was their response. They said that was an "old receipt." I reminded them it has only been a few hours. These two employees are something else. After all of this I commented on "... this place." The second employee said that I am not welcome back here any more. Never got a name or anything. Maybe they got my license plate. I have other vehicles. This place makes money off of other peoples charity. There are much better institutions to donate to than this place. Working in healthcare I am well aware of our societies responsibility to take precautions regarding covid. But this was unacceptable. Stay away!

Goodwill had a lot of great options and prices were very reasonable. Today was yellow tag day. Items marked with this tag was half off! Wonderful selection!

This place is THEE WORST! I frequent this place almost every day and have spent as much as $60 at a time. I was speaking with one of the patrons who I see quite often and she inquired about a Coach Bag that I purchased recently. She told me y'all are out here all the time which leaves the pickings very slim for us. I went to pay for my items and was told I was banned because they caught me on camera changing prices. I am a Business Owner and don't have time to be going to jail over $2 or $3 of USED merchandise. Mind you the camera is at the front of the store and they never showed me the video. Racism is alive and well in DuPage County. Sad but true!
