From the outside, you would not think that Charles Custom Dinettes would have what we were looking for to furnish a brand new modern kitchen/dining room remodel. I WAS SO WRONG!!Originally, we saw our furniture at a high end furniture store not too far from CCD. I was ready to order it when my husband suggested we check out CCD. Talked to Steve and he pointed us to what we were looking for. There were the counter stools and dining room table and chairs we wanted. They were the brand and models we saw at the other store. CCD actually had the finish and top samples in full size versus the swatch colors from the other place. (This was a life saver!! We almost selected from the small swatches something that was way too shiny and a color that would not have matched our decor!!)But wait, there's more!! Not only did we get to see, feel and touch the actual products, but the price Steve quoted us was $4,000 less than the other store. One more thing...this was Nov 11 and Steve said we will have it by Christmas while the chain store said it will take 16 weeks!! Steve delivered both figuratively and literally!!!Anyone looking for quality stools for a bar or counter, you must go to Charles Custom Dinettes! They have quite a selection.Here are some pictures of both the dining room set and counter stools. (We ordered 6 of these).

We bought a table and chairs for our breakfast room here 35 years ago, the table is still fine and I didn't want to replace it, but we had beaten the chairs to death. Couldn't find what I wanted anyplace else but Steve had just the right chairs in stock, already assembled, took them home with me. I had actually bought a couple chairs online, took me an hour to assemble them, then found the seat cushions were too shallow and the backs too upright so they were uncomfortable. And the finish wasn't what I was expecting. At Charles you can see exactly what you're getting, no surprises. As the name says, they just sell dinettes, but they know everything there is to know about dinettes. If you want a custom finish or fabric, they can order it for you. Unlike the discount stores that get container loads of table and chair sets and then can't break up the sets or get you something custom.

We had dinette chairs repaired and reapolstered. Chairs came out fixed and beautiful. Thank you Charles for your work, pricing and being a great guy. Great place for repairing and buying dinette sets.

We were searching for a dinette store, they are a rare breed, and came across Charles Dinette on Google, so we took a ride out to Lombard to check it out…best move we could have made! Walked in determined to find a set. In talking with Steve, the owner and an amazing guy, he casually asked what we have and why we were replacing. We told him we love our set, but it’s 17 years old and the bases are broke on two chairs. He offered for us to bring them in he thinks he could repair them. This wonderful guy saved us $1000s of dollars! The chairs are fixed, look brand new and we couldn’t be happier. And both chairs repaired in less than 15 minutes! He’s like a wizzard or chair guru! The cost was so low! And the parts were brand new! He has a lot of new stuff to offer too!

After shopping around at all the chain furniture shops we were discouraged about the quality tables we were finding. Saw this local shop and decided to give it a try. Boy are we glad we did! Charles was so friendly and had quality real wood furniture! Helped us decide on the best dinette set for us and loaded it up in our car. This is the place to go when you need a dinette set! Shopping local is the way to go! ??

This place is a hidden gem! We bought a kitchen set from Steve 21 years ago, and 21 years later Steve sold and delivered our 2nd set. Something to be said for that. Steve has a great selection and he helped us every step of the way. Our set is great quality and beautiful! Love it!

Did some strolls around the place,I had alot of visualizing to do..Charles Dinette helped out when I asked a question and was helpful with ideas,stock,different pricing and group ideas. Found a modern dinette set and bar counter chairs that fit into my scheme of things. I was surprised I accomplished it in less than a few hours..thank you.

Steve was awesome to work with. We paid a lot of money for kitchen chairs that were on casters, after a couple of years the bases started breaking. I tried to contact the place where they were purchased but they had gone out of business. I called this custom dinette store and talked to Steve,someone was watching over me that day, he was so courteous,knowledgeable,and helpful. Within 5 minutes he had our problem figured out and solved. He ordered the necessary parts and even put them together for us. I would recommend anyone needing dinettes or anything similar to that to go and see Steve he is the best.

Walked in this morning hopefull I could find a kitchen set. After five minutes a man came out of a rear room and asked what I was looking for. I told him and he responded " that's probably a custom order", he turned around and went back into the room. I walked around for several more minutes and left. I assume the have so many customers they didn't want my business.
