WORST SERVICE ever - I placed a prepaid order through my company, showed up at this location and they had ZERO cars. I waited for my charge to be reversed but when it wasn't, I called Budget and found out that since I hadn't called in 14 days that they would not refund me for SERVICES NEVER RENDERED. I will be placing a dispute with the better business bureau. I wish someone had told me this.

I prepaid for my rental a couple of weeks ago coming from out of state for 2 week visit. I get there and was told because I used my virtual card which ends in a different number from my credit card it was attached to and which already deducted from, that I had to call customer service first to reverse charges which take 3-14 days to receive the refund and place a new reservation instead.When I placed my reservation, I was supposed to receive a Kia Sol and got a Honda Civic instead. Then when I pull off the lot, the Maintenance Past Due Alert Error Code A1 comes on my dashboard and the car drives horribly. Looked up code alert and oil at 5% Turn right around and go back and was told car "still drive able" and no other cars available because booked. I asked about fleet of cars on other side of parking lot and was told 'all of those cars are out of order" which was about 5-6 cars. Then told I could come back tomorrow to see what they have. I couldn't cancel due to needed to get to where I was staying. Called customer service to report and said could redirect me to another location or call roadside assistance to get another vehicle to me.Called roadside assistance and was told something totally different. They advised me to drive car to another location and get another one. I informed them I did not feel comfortable driving the car. They stated will have car towed and will be dropped off at location to get another car instead of being delivered to me as I was told. I advised them I hsve another appointment and would have to do so early the next day.This all has been a nightmare spending hours at the Lombard Facility, going back there, multiple calls to customer service and roadside assistance, still no car and have to start the process tomorrow. I want a refund and another vehicle period. I reserved this car for 2 weeks and get nothing but disturbing customer seevice.

I would have never thought to look up reviews before reserving a truck. I was surprised to see a business so poorly rated. But it makes sense now because after reserving 2 weeks ago for an 8am truck pick up, I get a call at 8:10 saying my truck is no longer available and my reservation is canceled. Definitely the last thing I want to hear the morning of a big move. They said they can't help any further and to call customer service but I'd likely have to go into Chicago to get a new truck. Extremely frustrating. At least uhaul makes it easy to schedule a last minute reservation. I would say skip the headache and reserve somewhere else

Absolutely amazing!!!! Customer service was perfect, vehicle was perfect! Best prices too! I will definitely be using their service again. Thank you for helping make our spring break unforgettable. ?

Should be zero stars,I reserved a car to be picked up on Friday 1/12/23, on Thursday I called to see if I could pick it up on Thursday they said yes,when i showed up they didn't have a car. When I asked what car I would have Friday morning on my original reservation they said I wouldn't have one. And o well to bad

My experience has been excellent after multiple rentals from Ali. He is patient, helpful and accomodating. I would recommend renting from this location.

I’m from out of state traveling to Chicago for work. I needed a rental last minute after my brand new 2022 Chevy wouldn’t start randomly. I was in full hot mess panic mode because I needed to get to work and have transportation for my family who is traveling with me.I booked a rental online and got an Uber to this Budget rental. I was rushing to get there before it closed at 5 and it was already 4:30.We arrived with a few minutes to spare. The gentleman that was there to assist us informed us that he didn’t have the vehicle we booked in stock. He was fully booked and didn’t have a car available. I told him our situation and he was more than accommodating. He was able to get us into a car within 10 minutes and was so kind and helpful. It was so nice having such amazing compassion during a very stressful time. I highly recommend this Budget location. I can’t thank him enough for going above and beyond. Having a big heart goes a long way.

They didn’t give me the car I booked. Instead replaced it with another one and never returned the excess amount I had paid.

There were no extra cars to swap out the sopping wet one they gave us. Fine. But all the reps we talked to were unapologetic that my backpack got soaked and we have to deal with this and a car that smells like mildew all weekend. There's lots of other companies to rent from you think they could at least say sorry.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I made a truck reservation over a month in advance for a truck so I could move out of state. I made flight reservations that hinged on this so that I could make my brothers graduation and still move. Over a month in advance. 3 days before my reservation- the day before I fly out for my brothers graduation I get a call saying that they will be closed the day I'm supposed to pick up the truck. I have no idea what to do at this point and the "owner" basically said "sucks to be you". I'm now out $680 with no truck and no way of getting one. DO NOT USE BUDGET OR THIS LOCATION.

Called to tell me they don't have any cars. Making me call an 800 number to get my refund. If you don't have the car I reserved, don't make me call a separate service to get my money back.

The worst car rental experience ever for me. They actually rented me a severely marijuana scented vehicle for my family vacation and handed me a can of air freshener. After spending many hours on the phone to their 1-800 number I was offered to exchange the vehicle at another location but no other location admitted to having any vehicles available to me that would accommodate the size of the vehicle I was currently renting. I was then also promised by the corporate customer service that I would be receiving a refund within five business days and upon return of this vehicle I finally had a person who spoke English tell me that they were willing to give me $50 off of my total rental. Don't waste your time here I never knew how awful tenting a car could be. I've only rented a ton of them throughout my lifetime. Stay away from Budget and especially this Lombard location!
