I have been driving for 50 years and dealing with different DMV's for that amount of time in Illinois. Today I did business with this location in Lockport for address change and Real ID. I never remember dealing with a better run, knowledgeable people, Customer Service Friendly team and efficient facility before. These people were great! From the Greeter to the Clerk to the Cashier. While handling my business there I could hear others and how they were being treated by other representatives. It was truly a pleasant experience and a great DMV Facility. No customer was, and there was at least 10, while I was there was aggravated or unattended. I was in and out in lest than 15 minutes. Absolutely amazing. In this day of terrible Customer Service everywhere, this Facility and the staff are Out-Standing!

Went for my appointment a few weeks ago to do the driving part and the guy was very rude and failed me. He already had a bad attitude and I knew he was going to fail me the way he was speaking. Don't like your job, don't take it out on innocent people who are nervous driving as it is. No one is perfect on driving or parking. I would give it a zero

I brought my sister here today to get her license renewed. Since she has both of her wrists in casts, she needs some help. The lady at the front desk was rude and obviously is blind or lacking common sense. She sternly asked me if I was there for anything. I told her to help my sister, she told me I couldn’t be in there and would have to leave. The facility was not crowded, there were maybe 3 people in there at the most, that were at the cashier. COVID is over. There’s no reason to limit, especially if it’s obvious a customer needs help.

Great experience today. I went in to get a new ID and the greeter at the first desk was so pleasant and helpful. Thank you so much for the help, advice, and just overall great attitude. We need more people like you in the world.

I've never been so insulted in my life. These people made me feel uncomfortable and alienated in my own country. I'm so sick of restrictions on us Americans (Natural Born). The secretary of state is asleep. Wake up!!

Joliet dmv is rude. Naperville is slow. Lockport is the best to go to over all.

Pros and cons incoming:
Came in on a Friday evening. The ladies at the cashiers and vehicle related desks are absolutely wonderful, pleasant, and keep it moving. I did not ask the name of the woman who cheered me on for passing my permit test but she absolutely made my day and is doing an outstanding job. However, at that desk when you initially walk in, the woman who was in charge of the staff at this time of day was undoubtedly the rudest person I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with (at a DMV). She came over to “assist” helping with nothing whatsoever besides quite literally yelling at and acting in a verbally abusive manner toward a customer with severe anxiety. I’m talking should not be in charge of anything with this type of behavior. You wanna parent your own kids like that go right ahead. But good thing I’m a lady and am not one for participating in making a scene in public. unfortunately that type of management doesn’t leave much room for employees to do well, so I’m applauding the rest of them so hard for being incredibly kind and rising above such treatment in a hostile work environment. Please do better. You may hate your job or your entire life, but some of us are aware of the fact that our energies are precious lol. Adiós <3

I am always pleased when I have to visit this dmv in Lockport ill. The people that work there are considerate with everyone that comes in front of them. Never had a bad experience.
