DEEEElicious. Every time I go there, there is something new to try and, always, it is so so good. Mixed berry mascarpone scones, loave, fruit tarts, snickerdoodles, on and on and on. OMG, they are so good. Staff is always pleasant and helpful and fun. Marvelous place. Too many baked goods are over-sweetened or loaded down with animal fat frostings, here the excellent flavors of the baked goods are allowed to take precedence. And it is a pretty and welcoming space, if I weren't in hurry to get home and indulge in what I purchase, I'd be inclined to grab a cup of coffee or the wonderful Stash tea and relax there.

I’ve eaten everything here from cheesecake to cookies and it’s been delicious. My mom stopped in yesterday and bought an apple pie. For the record apple pie is just okay. For me is after cheesecake, cherry, peach cobbler and blueberry pie so she assumed the pie was mostly just for her. I have eaten almost half of her apple pie in less than 24 hours. It’s incredible! It’s legitimately the best apple pie I have ever had in my entire life!!

I needed a custom cake made for my friend's themed birthday so I submitted an inquiry on The Sweet Spot's website. They reached out to me within a week or so with a quote - I ended up needing a bigger cake and wanted to change the flavor, and Mary Jo was very accommodating of both requests. The cake was ready to go when I requested it and it looked FANTASTIC!!! My friend absolutely loved it and we all loved the flavor of the vanilla cake and buttercream - a couple guests told me the taste reminded them of pancakes, in a good way. Overall I'm very pleased with this bakery and can't wait to get more custom cakes done by them!

Will definitely recommend this place to everyone. I placed an order kind of last minutes just weeks before my sister’s 40th birthday/ beating breast cancer cake. The owner was so kind and responded quickly on email. It was such an easy process and I was able to upload some photos for the Inspo. The cake was a hit at the party. Everyone loved it. Will order again from here.

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have soooo many more five star reviews. I accidentally came across them frantically looking for a local bakery. Nicest people ever. This buttercream chocolate cake is amazing!!!! Reasonably priced. Very accommodating and kind. Lots of sweet and savory option to take. When I was there a gentleman came in and took a ton of cookies. He said he drives 45 minutes for the cookies and pies. I have a new favorite local bakery. They were out of pies but I’ll be going back for some soon.

it smelled wonderful when I walked in but this bakery is mostly for custom orders. There was very little inventory and I was looking for pricing for an assortment of butter cookies. They have delicious looking cookies, but it was not what I was looking for. Employees were very nice and the owner responded immediately to an email that I sent. From a business perspective, they care about their customers. In the future, if I need a special cake for a special occasion ~ worth a try.

Cake was AMAZING and my hubby picked out all my flavors and they did a fantastic job on the highland cow!! Highly recommend!!

Seriously??? Being new to the immediate area, I was very excited to try this bakery. It was late Friday morning and I was going to go to De Etta's bakery but thought I'd give this place a try. I should've known from three steps in it was going to be a total flop. There was almost zero inventory! I wanted a coffee cake for a guest I was entertaining later that day. However all they had was some decorated cookies, a couple (3) pound cakes and several cupcakes. So I settled for 6 cupcakes, 1 small pound cake and 2 spinach/feta croissants. $36 later I'm back in my car and I broke into the cupcakes...because they "looked" so yummy. Gag gag gag!!! They were stale and hard as a crusty used sponges I bake from scratch and know these had to be nearly a week old!! My bad for not asking, "How old are your goods?!" I grew up going tobudget bakeries for "day-old" goods and I can accept that but I mean c'mon now certainly not $36 good! I'm so surprised they have great reviews...I guess if they're in the made-to-order event cake business they may be good however this is definitely not what I know to be a traditional made fresh daily bread & sweets bakery. I'd drive back to return them however I didn't take a receipt...because I surely didn't expect I'd need one!!! Huge disappointment.

They did an amazing job at making my vision come to life for my sons 1st birthday party! The theme was space Dino and baptism and they did such a great job and everything tasted so good! Everyone at the party loved the cake and cookies ?. Will definitely recommend this bakery to everyone and will use it in the future ?

The owner is one of the best people on the planet. She has gone from politics and her own day to day behind a desk work to putting all that behind her to do something she loves to do. When you have that opportunity how can you not be great. I should go there more, I do every time I am in the neighborhood, even if its just to get some cookies. Old world bakery just what you would expect.

I had gotten a chocolate cake. It was well decorated but the cake was super dry. There was also so little actual cake. 70% of the cake was just butter cream. Also. There were no layers… the cream layers were just randomly distributed. It was truly awful. Pretty from the outside tho…….but a cake should be yummy too.

I have had several cakes made from The Sweet Spot and they have all been amazing! Recently they made a last minute cake for my best friend’s 50th birthday and everyone loved it! They hit the theme perfectly! The cake was a hit! Thank you!!
