As a prescriber, I was calling in a prescription for a patient and was placed on hold for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I was disconnected. Throughout the 30 minutes, someone would pick up the phone and immediately place it back on hold with no explanation. This is unacceptable. I understand that you are busy but as a physician I am busy too. Either figure out a way to answer the phone and/or figure out a way to alert customers of long wait times.

When Dr. Demitry was the pharmacist here, things ran like clockwork. For over 20 years we used this pharmacy. But since he’s been gone, it’s like inmates have taken charge of the prison!They don’t answer the phones! You’re on hold for over 30 minutes, then you’re suddenly disconnected. You’ll never know if the pharmacy will be open the next day or not. Heck, you’re lucky if they don’t close early all of a sudden, because ‘corporate forgot to schedule a pharmacist’.When you do get through, they give you wrong information.It’s definitely time to move away from this pharmacy!

I’ve stayed quiet when they started closing the pharmacy with no warning, I stayed quiet when they took hours to refill items that were in stock or constantly being out of stock of important prescriptions. But I just sat in the pharmacy line for over a half hour, DURING BUSINESS HOURS, WATCHING 3 pharmacy techs laugh while IGNORING the line of NINE cars behind me waiting for some kind of communication as to how to get our prescriptions since they decided to surprise us all by closing early without warning. I’ve never seen such unprofessionalism in a business that literally holds people’s LIVES in their hands, just flippantly ignoring those people. Ew.

This store is awful! They hang up on you when you call the pharmacy and today I went to pick up my prescription that they’ve been delaying for days. I got home and just found out they didn’t even give it to me. I’m done with Walgreens. They used to be good but this kind of thing happens all the time these days.

Pharmacy never answers the phone and will leave you on hold for 30 minutes! This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience as a lady at the pharmacy also refused to give me my prescription due to her personal issues. Terrible service. This is coming from someone who finds it difficult to leave bad reviews as I know how hard working with people can be, but I've been put on hold and been refused my own medication. If I could give 0 stars I would. :(

The service here is absolute crap. Brynna and the fill-in pharmacist Joanne do NOT know how to treat people. My first incident with Joanne, she sat here and told me that me, being a type one diabetic, can wait for my insulin until the following week. She then went behind the counter and started talking about me loudly as if I couldn't hear her saying that I was not a priority because insulin can be substituted, which in fact I would die without my insulin. Brynna, yesterday, did the exact same thing. I told Brynna that if I end up in the hospital for my diabetes again, she would be getting my hospital bill since she did not care to help me. I take two completely different insulin and she kept bringing up the wrong insulin and when I would correct her and tell her the insulin I WAS looking for, she said I was lying and I don't take that insulin. She went as far as to tell me she wasn't going to help me any further and then went behind the desk and started crap talking me AGAIN. Every single month, I refill my insulin through the app and it tells me that the prescription is ready and I get the automated call that my prescription is ready, but when I go into Walgreens to pick it up, they tell me the prescription does not exist and I have to wait for my doctor to send a new one. EVERY SINGLE MONTH. I go days without insulin when I need a refill, ending up sick or in the hospital because of this. Twice last year I went into DKA because of Walgreens employees complete lack of care and intelligence. I will no longer be going through this Walgreens and will be calling corporate on behalf of Brynna. I want to thank Dimitri and the nice black girl that's always there for their help but as far as the rest of the Walgreens Pharmacy employees, you'll all be reported. No wonder this pharmacy was shut down for a while, it's complete shit.

pharmacist is rude and did not care that the generic drug that they changed me to, unbeknownst to me, was not working the way the previous one worked. he actually said "What am I going to do with those pills?"when I asked to re order from the previous company. He kept trying to convince me that maybe I wasn't taking the pills and that's why they weren't working. or why was I calling after a month and not right away. he finally said he was too busy to talk to me any more about the situation and told me he'd call me back. I called another Walgreens and that pharmacist was nice and reordered pills that worked for me. he even made sure to give me only enough pills to get me to the next time my insurance would cover them. I would recommend walgreens in Lake Villa.

Store side and pharmacy side is amazing, people just need to understand and not expect the world to revolve around them, they expect pharmacies to always be open when multiple are closed because they are short staffed, they need to understand that the main pharmacist of this Walgreens is OUT. Meaning revolving pharmacists have to fill in and they can’t always fill in! Not just the short staff of pharmacist but their hours got cut and it’s hard to do 4 people amount of work with only 2. Make sure to get your prescription AHEAD of time not last second where you have none or one or two left, be prepared be ready. Can’t always blame the place for your problems then yell at a worker who doesn’t work in the pharmacy like they can do something, some people have to grow up.

This Lindenhurst Walgreens doesn't seem to be able to keep the pharmacy open regular hours and sometimes not at all. In addition, spouse went for a vaccine appointment, and was told no pharmacist on duty, so no vaccine, but no one notified of cancellation via text phone or otherwise. This also happens with trying to pick up Rx. Unfortunate and quite inconvenient.

The pharmacy was awful. Had an appt for 2 children for a covid and flu test at 1145am. I checked in at that time and was finally seen at 1235. With two sick kids. After the covid test they didn't know anything of the flu test. Needed to wait longer. Pharmacist was supposed to do flu test, but counter last ended up doing it because of the wait. Odd.
