“Dr. Walter came out to our home to euthanize our dog as she had been run over yet still alive and could not travel in her condition. She was not even his patient. That was 30 years ago. Ever since I have brought my animals to him. He is the most caring and knowledgeable vet I have had experience with. I would go to no one else.”
“I moved to Lake County in the fall of 2019, Grayslake specifically. I tried a few different veterinarians for my little rescue Pomeranian, and I didn't find anyone I truly liked/trusted. When we moved to Libertyville at the end of 2022, I asked around and was then referred to GreenTree. I had FINALLY found a place that I liked! From the front desk staff, to the techs, and especially Dr. Weber...Maui now had a vet that her overbearing mom approved of. You can tell that everyone that works here is a true animal lover, and it shows by the clients in the waiting room as well. I've never brought Maui in without meeting someone friendly while we've waited. Rescues can be a little high maintenance, or maybe it's just me lol, but Dr. Weber and all the technicians don't make you feel that way. I was finally talked into getting Maui a much needed dental and Dr. Weber even offered to stay after her scheduled time one night to show me around the dental suite and walk me through the procedure again. She also sent me text updates throughout the entire procedure. I would refer her to anyone who asked :) I feel so fortunate to have found her and GreenTree.”
“We really appreciate everything that Dr. Johnson did for our cat. He was diagnosed with sarcoma, and there was not much we could do, but she was able to give our cat another half a year of an amazing life. There is no way to express our sadness because our cat is gone, but even in his last moments at the hospital when we arrived for euthanasia, everything was very respectful and peaceful.”

“We are newer to the area and have two cats and no vet. I called them and they got us in right away (Other vets I had called in the area before them said I had to wait a week to see my cat Elery) she could bor wait a week to be seen as she had fecal matter completely stuck to her rump, which can be really unhealthy and cause infection, it was bad and she was super uncomfortable and it came on all the sudden. Dr. Lawrence and her staff were amazing with us in Elery. The clinic is clean and the staff and the doctor extremely professional and caring. I was completely stressed and they made me so comfortable and of course Elery too. When all was said and done even the fee was reasonable especially for the ask and the last minute getting us in and being so wonderful. We Thank and appreciate all of you there and thank you for the welcome Card we received in the mail after visiting. You are wonderful! If you looking for a great place to bring your pet I highly recommend!!!”
“I am a first time dog owner so when my dog injured her paw and was limping, I immediately called our vet. They didn't have any appointments for the following days so I called vca, who were able to schedule me right away. We saw Dr Orzyp and she was phenomenal. She was so patient with Izzyy as she wiggled around and so caring and gentle with her! They were able to find the sore in her paw and prescribe medication. Izzy was back to normal a couple days later! Can’t recommend them enough to help take care of your pet!!”
“We had a great experience at Skycrest. The technicians and doctors show how much they care about our pups and was very patient with one of our pups who has a special condition. She is extremely fearful and we could do all the vaccines and blood draws last time, but Dr. Wilbert worked with our previous vet clinic to prescribe a perfect meds and my pup responded well. She was able to get the shots and blood draw successfully. It was our first visit and we are glad”
“I used to work as a receptionist for a dog daycare, so I've had to talk to different vets all the time all over Chicago. Now, no longer a receptionist and I have my own puppy; Preiser was one of my top 3 to go to. I HIGHLY recommend, they have a wonderful staff and receptionists. The nurses are so kind, and treated my puppy with so much love. Like, I'm pretty sure my dog loves the vet now. They helped refer me to a specialist and helped me make sure she got the best care. Pricing wasn't terrible at all. The doctor called me personally to discuss my dog which I thought was really thoughtful. Also the lobby is so cute, and welcoming. Sometimes lobbies at vets can be rough, like they can smell, be dirty, have strange colors, and have uncomfortable chairs... but not here. It's so cute and cozy, the sun shines in, there are magazines, comfy sheets, and so much space if you have an uneasy or aggressive pet that needs space from other pets. Also I have to point out that all the plants have their own names it's adorable”

“We have been going to River Trails Animal Hospital and Dr. De Los Monteros for 15 years for our baby, Ricky. The staff and Dr. D have always been more than wonderful, loving and kind. Last night, we had to put our baby to sleep, and while it is a horrific decision, Dr. D and the staff made the experience gentle, loving and pain free for him. She is beyond caring and empathetic,always has been over the 15 years. I highly recommend River Trails to anyone that has a pet as they will always be loved and cared for!”

The staff were super helpful and friendly. The Vet gave our dog a thorough check-up and made some useful recommendations. The pricing also seemed very fair. “I am so sad they retired. By far and away the most educated and dedicated doctors, AND staff. NOT replaceable. Not even close. I am so sad they closed. As for the bad reviews? I love how the negative comments start with great doctors but too expensive. It's always about the money. If you can't pay The Four Seasons prices, go check in to a Motel 8. There are plenty of other vets, like hotels, who have cockroaches if that's what you prefer. You sound like a bunch of hillbillies. I am HEARTBROKEN they have closed. Especially because now I may run into the morons who posted negatively on here. No chance of morons in the NICC waiting area just dedicated pet owners who love their cats.”
“In a tiny unassuming office in Lake Forest is one of the best vet practices in the area. I've trusted my crew of dogs with them for over 12 years now. I knew Dr. Timm already from dog sports. The whole staff is careful, thorough and honest. Dr. Timm is one of those vets who I would travel from practice to practice to see, luckily I don't need to.”
