I have been boarding our Twelve-Year old gelding at this stable for 3 years this fall and I could not be more pleased. The owner of this barn is attentive and caring. She knows every horse, and every owner. She knows the needs and attends to all that ails each horse as if they were her own. I could never have dreamed we landed in a barn with so much personal care, and feel blessed that we made it here! Additionally, each of the grooms that works here, cares for the horses well too. They take the horses out to their pastures every morning, clean the stalls, the barn, and bring the horses back in every afternoon. When it is hot, they cool down horses with showers, when they are too muddy, they wash their feet. You name it, they do it. This barn cares for every aspect of your horse with love, care and honesty. It's not like a business or show barn. It feels like a family. I love the borders here too, because we all care for each other and have lovely conversations as we are enjoying our time with our horses. That doesn't happen at every barn, but it happens at Town Line Stables!

A gorgeous property as you drive past and a gorgeous one as you step foot in the doors. My horses have never been so happy and relaxed in a barn even when I ran one myself. Christine is very knowledgeable and always looks to care for the horses with her outmost ability, I have never felt more comfortable leaving my horse in someone else's care. The facility is always clean, stalls mucked and bedded every morning, water buckets scrubbed thoroughly twice a week, aisle swept/blown, wash stall sprayed down and arena dragged. This barn is such a lovely place to be and I am more than happy to call myself a boarder.

The best run boarding barn I've ever been at, and contrary to what a previous poster intimated, there are dozens of us who have boarded with Christine for years. She is a stickler for good care and animal welfare, and if that's a problem for an owner, then this barn isn't a good fit for them. It's also one of the only places with honest to god grass turnout and room for horses to be horses.

I am a current boarder at Townline. For anyone to rate this stable less than a 4 star is not credible. My horses are very well cared for at Townline. Any time things have come up, I address it directly with Christine and it's resolved. While Christine's personality can be strong for some people, I appreciate the straightforward approach she has. She is very knowledgeable and does not mince words when it comes to the care of the horses. If you are looking for a barn manager that will fawn over or coddle you as an owner/boarder, look elsewhere. This place is all about the horses. To run a stable of this size as well as this one is run is a major feat. The facility, stalls, arena, pastures, paddocks and lounges are all exceptionally well kept and maintained. Christine has stringent rules and expects them to be followed. If you can't respect the rules and other boarders and staff, this probably isn't the place for you. If you aren't able to deal with a strong, opinionated, knowledgeable, female stable manager...not the place for you. If you want a beautiful facility that is laid back, amazing for the horses, low drama and has knowledgeable staff on site 24/7...you'll find it a Townline.

Great family stable. Horses are very well cared for here. However the owner thinks she is more knowledgeable than vets and farriers. If you don't mind their decisions being overrun by her resulting in an unfavorable outcome than this is the place for you.

I have owned horses for 40 years and Townline Stables is the best place at which I have ever boarded. My horse is calm and happy here which I attribute solely to the contentious care and accommodations provided by Townline Stables. The many different turn out options include several huge and lush green grass pastures. The stable gives great thought to which horses are compatibly turned out together and horses are turned out for long hours every day of the year. The feed and particularly hay provided is of highest quality and seems individualized to the needs and best health of each horse. The stable manager is highly knowledgeable, loves the horses, and personally daily pays close attention to the health and well-being of each horse boarded.Staff members also seem to be carefully chosen and are each polite to borders and kind to the horses.I really can't say enough about how happy are both myself and my horse with the service at Townline Stables.

I can't say enough good things about this barn & the lady that owns I!. Christine is all about the horses. She is very knowledgeable about Equine nutrition & supplements. The property is clean & well maintained inside & outside. My 2 horses are very happy and have never looked better. My horses are turned out every day, all day. The stalls are large & clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The riding is awesome! You can ride around the property as well as the Forest Preserve that is across the street. They also have a big indoor arena as well as a round pen & outdoor arena. All things considered I would call this "Horse Heaven".
