I could not recommend Jim or his establishment more—and I do, every chance I get. Libertyville has a lot to offer, but having a mechanic you can trust with your life is at the top of the list when you’re a support system of one. Affordable, reliable, transparent—Rouse’s is the only place it’s guaranteed you’re always in both capable AND caring hands. If you’re going somewhere else, you’re doing it wrong.

My heat shield came loose on my car and was looking for a shop to reattach. I called Rouses’s Auto Repair to fix the issue. They reattached my heat shield and provided excellent customer service. It was the first time I’ve used this shop and Jim and his team were wonderful. I would not only recommend their shop, but they have earned a future customer if I need any repairs in the future. Highly suggest if you are in need of a trustworthy repair shop. Thanks for all your help!

I was a walk-in needing help with replacing my light bulb. The owner came out and helped me right away with no hesitation. He was kind, direct, and quick. I’m traveling back to Wisconsin so I absolutely needed this done. I’m so grateful!

There are few mechanics like Jim. Honest and reliable, does exactly what is needed and keeps his promises. Rouse's is one of the rare shops that is reminiscent of a time when you had a neighborhood mechanic that everyone trusted.

So old school it's new school.Professional, timely - and surprisingly personable.I had a very minor job – won't say just how minor – but not something I could do without lifts. Called midday on a Friday and came in, per instructions, @ 3.00 pm – obviously toward the end of what I'm guessing, because of all the cars and hustle I saw in the shop, was a very busy day at the end of very busy work week - when cars need to be DONE before the weekend when the shop is closed.I waited upstairs in the comfortable, "cool", old school waiting room, with its vintage black leather sofa. In 20 to 25 minutes "the boss" called up the stairs that my job was done.Price? Nada. Now THAT'S customer service!AND I WILL BE BACK!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my jeep to the dealership because a reflector light on my fender popped out. The dealership quoted me $468! I stopped by Rouse's and talked to Jim... He was able to replace the part good as new for $100 total! Rouse's has earned my business tenfold. What a great small town business! I would give them more stars if I could.

They know how to fix most vehicles, old or new. They don't waste your money on unnecessary repairs. Friendly service. Reasonably priced. They keep you informed appropriately.
